Today I am doing a review for one of the Nyx Dream Catcher Palettes. The one I purchased is called Stormy Skies. I randomly saw these palettes at a Target I went to and they looked so pretty I had to pick one up. There was 3 different ones and I had a hard time picking between them. Also, since it was called Dream Catcher Palette, I had to have it. LOL.
I believe this was $14.99. I really am trying to stop buying palettes because I have so many, but this was so cheap that I couldn't resist.

About this palette-
There is a mixture of matte and shimmer shades in this. Most of these are cool toned shadows, and I was drawn to it because of the pretty taupey shadows, and I loved that it offered some purple, blue, and gray as well.

My thoughts-
-The pigmentation on this wasn't great, but that is pretty expected when's buying Nyx eyeshadows. They do look a little better with a primer underneath.
-Even though the colors look beautiful, when applied they kind of blend together and look blah.
-I was a little disappointed in this, because it looks so beautiful.
-However, this palette is good for a light, natural look for days you just want to throw something together quick.
I own a few Nyx palettes and I think they are pretty hit or miss. I like some, and I don't like others. This Dream Catch Palette was okay for me, but I don't think I'll reach for it a ton. For the cheap price, it's definitely something you can work with if you don't want to spend the money on a high end palette!

I have 3 NYX eyeshadow palettes and I'm not thrilled with either of them. I don't have good luck with drugstore shadows in general.

I agree Kate- I haven't found many drugstore eyeshadows that I like a lot!!
DeleteToo bad the palette isn't all that great! It's kind of shame too because those colors are really pretty! Thanks for your honest review! The only drug store shadows I find that are really pigmented are NYC single shadows and Maybelline. You may want to give BH Cosmetics a try, I really like their products so far. I hope to get my review on some of the items I have on my blog next week :)

DeleteThis looked so pretty though! I'm sad its lacking pigmentation, but I always find that as well when I buy some NYX palettes. I totally love that it is called the DreamCatcher palette as well though :)

DeleteAshley, I would've purchased it for the name also. HaHa Sad, the colors aren't very pigmented but glad you can use it. I wish more drugstores and target stores would let us swatch before buying.
