Hard Candy So Baked Sculpting Trio Review

Hi :)
Today I'm going to be reviewing the Hard Candy so baked Sculpting trio. This is a blush/bronzer/highlight trio and if you aren't familiar with Hard Candy, it's a brand that can be found at Walmart. It's super cheap and they have really cute packaging. I tend to gravitate towards high end blush and bronzer, and haven't found many from the drugstore that I love, so I thought I would try this out.

Sorry for the glare. I took this when I had crappy Lighting and my camera on my Phone isn't the best.

Top picture is no flash, bottom with a flash.

I was drawn to this trio because I really like when I can find duos or trios that have everything I need in them. It's small and would be nice for traveling. This also kind of reminding me of the Urban Decay Naked Flushed (obviously in way cheaper and different packaging) and thought it might be a good dupe.

This came in 4 different shades. The blushes ranged from a super bright pink, to a mauve (the one I have), and some bright orange/coral colors. The Bronzers ranged from light to dark, and most of the highlights were a champagne or pink toned color. This was super affordable at $9.

Here are the swatches

My thoughts
-I thought the pigmentation was okay. It was buildable, but you have to be careful since they are shimmery.
-The bronzer came off a bit orange on me because my skin is so pale.
-I did like the highlight shade, and the blush was okay. They blended nicely.
-I have a few of Hard Candy's Fox in a Box blushes and I perfer those ones to this blush.
-Overall this was an okay purchase. It's not something that I reach for a lot, and it's not something I would tell you to run out and buy. BUT if you are looking for a super affordable trio, then give this a go!

Have you tried anything from Hard Candy? Let me know in the comments!

Also is anyone interested in seeing a post my top favorite drugstore products??

  1. Thank you for the review! I'm glad you mentioned the shimmer. I hate shimmer! Makes me feel like something out of twilight haha. I've not tried any Hard Candy products, I never heard of it until now. Also, I would be VERY interested in your favorite drugstore products :) I trust your reviews because they are really honest, which is exactly what I need! :)

  2. I've never tried Hard Candy beauty products! Our Walmart is so far out from where I live, it's ashame! The blush and highlighter look pretty. I detest orange like you do Ashley. We don't want any oompa loompa looks. LOL Excellent review!

    1. Thank you Kim!! Yes no Oompa Loompa haha!! Hard candy is an okay brand, it's hit or miss and I think it's more geared towards teenagers.

  4. Great review, Ashley, very detailed and well written. I will be given this a miss due to the shimmer which is a huge no no for my aging skin. And yes, I would really love to see your favourite drugstore products! Actually you just inspired me to do one for myself too, no idea why I never thought about it because I am a fan if drugstore makeup.

  6. Great review! I've never tried anything from Hard Candy before, but I've heard their boxed blushes were pretty good. I wonder how they compare to the ones from Benefit...
