Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation Review

Hello hello! I have another drugstore foundation to review today! In my last review of the new L'Oreal infallible pro matte one, I mentioned that I wanted to try out the new Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless too!

I'm a sucker for trying new foundations. It's my favorite makeup product to try, and even better if they are from the drugstore because they are so affordable! I also want to mention that I've never tried the original Fit Me foundation so I didn't really know what to expect from this.

I found this between $6-7 at tons of drugstores.

The formula is really liquidy and that makes to easy to blend out.

About this foundation
From Maybelline's website

Fit Me Matte + Poreless from Maybelline New York goes beyond skin tone matching to fit the unique texture issues of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural skin fit.

While some foundations can exaggerate pores and oily skin, only our pore-minimizing foundation contains our genius blurring micro-powders that erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless-looking finish.

Dermatologist and allergy tested. Does not clog pores. Oil-free.

They offer 16 different shades, which I think is a good verity for a drugstore foundation.

Keep in mind that they do offer a new dry and sensitive formula also. So if you don't have oily skin or dont want a matte finish then there is an option for that too!

My overall thoughts-
-I am really happy with this foundation. It looks super natural on the skin, and I do agree with the claims that it is matte and doesn't show my pores.
-it's long lasting and I would say it's a medium coverage that is buildable. It covers redness and acne scares nicely, but I still need a little bit of concealer.
-It's lightweight and blends super nice. I found it works best with my Beauty Blender and I like to apply it in sections.
-The only thing I dislike is the packaging. I perfer bottles with a pump or that are squeeze tube. I find it so annoying to get the foundation out of bottles like this and dab it all over my face.
-For the price this is an excellent drugstore foundation and I recommend trying it! If the dry and sensitive formula is as good as this one, then I would try that out too if that's your skin type!

Have you tried out this new foundation yet? If so leave your thoughts!

  1. Gosh, I am a huge foundation junkie too! I want them all and can't finish any of it. LOL!
I'll be giving this a miss as I am not a fan of matte finish and as I've said before, I'm not a fan of the original Fit Me which is love by many.

Have you tried Rimmel Wake Me Up and Rimmel Long Lasting 25 Hours foundation? I very recently picked up both and they are brilliant on me.

  2. Great review, I'm glad you liked it. I have the original fit me foundation, and I am not a fan of it. I also dislike foundation bottle that don't have the pumps. Pumps are so much easier to work with, and decrease the chance of over using!

    1. Thanks Pilar!! The good thing about drugstore ones is that they are so cheap so If it doesn't work out then you don't break your wallet like with a highend one!

  7. I think we're always in search for a really good foundation. We find one that does this, but doesn't do that and vice versa. I'm impressed with this one Ashley. It's also economical. Will definitely give it a try. Awesome review.

  8. I've heard a ton of people raving about this foundation. Total bummer about there not being a pump. That would bother me way too much. Maybe try finding a pump online?
