Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend. I feel like it's been a while since I posted on my blog, even though Thursday was only a few days ago it seems longer.
Today I'm going to review the new Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation. I planned to do this review last week, but I ended up doing a post (aka rant) about my ipsy bag instead. The Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation is one of my favorites, and since I've had really good luck with quite a few Covergirl foundations I thought I would give the Stay Luminous a go.
Foundation Claims
Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation
Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation’s oil-free, non-greasy formula gives your skin a natural luminosity that lasts all day! Perfect for achieving radiant skin, this all day foundation hydrates skin while providing flawless coverage.
I usually don't go for luminous foundations because I do have slightly oily skin. I didn't find this super luminous, but if you do have really oily skin then I wouldn't recommend this. When I first apply it, it looks really wet and shiny on my skin, but after it dries and I apply setting powder it's not shiny or luminous at all.
The formula is thicker, but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It looks natural and it blends really well. I've only tried it with my beauty blender, but it gives my skin a flawless finish. I would say it's a medium coverage foundation that is buildable. It covers all redness on my face but I still use concealer for my blemishes and scars.
The only problem I have with this foundation is at the end of the day my face looks oily. I'm sure blotting or using a setting powder would take care of this, but most of the time I'm at work or too lazy to do so.
My overall thoughts-
If you have dry skin, I would give this a go, but for my oily skin gals- skip out. If you have combo oily skin like me, then you might like it.
I do like this, but I perfer the outlast stay fabulous foundation. I'll use this up, but I won't repurchase it.
