Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Review

Hi everyone!! For Christmas I got the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette! I know the last thing I needed was another neutral palette, but seriously everytime I looked at this one I just couldn't stop admiring how beautiful it looked. I'm such a sucker for neutral palettes it's so bad lol.

This palette retails for $49. It comes with a travel size of the smashbox full exposure mascara.

The packaging is nice. It's the same cardboard ish material as the Lorac Pro Palette, but it's not super thin. This one is a lot thicker.
The colors are beautiful, and like the Lorac Pro, it comes with a row of both shimmer and matte shades. The top row are all super sparkly and shimmery shades, and the bottom is all matte. This palette is different than any other neutral palette I own because this has both warm and cool toned shadows.

This palette also comes with a double sided brush. I love it when palettes come with brushes! I don't know if you can see it, but one side (left) says shimmer and the other side (right) says matte. So I guess the different sides work better for the matte and shimmer shades. Also, the black end has white bristles/hairs on the opposite side.

Here are swatches of the top row of shimmer and glittery shades.

Here is the second row of the matte shadows.

My thoughts on this palette
I really like the wide verity of colors in this palette. You can do a really light neutral look, or do something heavier like a smokey eye, and everything else in between.
I find that this palette doesn't have the greatest pigmentation or the best blendability out there, but I still really like using it. The shadows aren't as buttery as Urban Decay or the Lorac Pro palettes shadows, so you have to work a little bot extra to blend and get the pigment you want. Regardless, I'm still happy to have this in my collection because it's gorgeous!
I much prefer my Naked palettes or my Lorac Pro to be quite honest, but this is still one that I recommened.
I will be doing some looks that I created with the palette soon!!

Have you tried out this palette? If so share your thoughts on it with me!!

    1. I have never used the Mac 217 before so I'm not sure how they compare. But from the few Mac brushes that I do have, I prefer them over this Smashbox brush for sure. Hope this helps!
