Favorite (and most used) Foundations!

Hello! Today I am going to share my all time favorite and most used foundations. If you read all my posts, then you might have a good idea of what some of them are because I've shown them many times and done reviews, ect. I have 7 foundations to show, and I tried really hard to narrow it down or do seperate posts on high end ones and drugstore ones. But I figured there was no point to that and I should just do one post.

Let's get started!

From left to right we have (top row) Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, and Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+.
For the bottom row- Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation, Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation, and Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation.

Ok those were the longest foundation names in the world.

*I also want to mention before I get into why I love these foundations, is that we all have different skin types so just because I love these doesn't mean you will. My skin is combination oily. I get oily around the sides of my nose, forehead, and chin. The rest of my skin is normal, but since it's winter it does feel a little dry sometimes. So if you have oily skin or skin similar to mine, you might love these foundations too!*

-Urban Decay Naked Skin. This foundation is very light weight and has a runny/thin formula. This applies great with both a brush and a beauty blender. This is a light to medium coverage, but it still makes your face look natural and flawless. I find that it still covers my face really well and it feels like you aren't even wearing anything.

-Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo. This foundation is pure amazingness. If you have oily skin I highly recommend it. I have never used a foundation that covers  absolutely every flaw on my face like this one does. It has a super thick formula, so I like to apply mine with a beauty blender. I think the damp sponge helps to apply smoothly.

-Tarte Amazonian Clay. This foundation also has a little bit thicker formula, but it blends into the skin so nicely. It looks natural and feels light weight. When I first bought this, I didn't love it as much as I do now. I said I liked it but wouldn't repurchase it. I think my mind has changed about it now!

-Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+. This was the first high end foundation I tried and purchased. This is another good one for my oily skin girls. It's another one that covers good but looks really natural. I like to apply this one best with a stippling brush.

-Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless. I bought this because I love the Covergirl & Olay simples ageless eye corrector. This foundation is probably my least used out of the bunch but if your looking for a good one that's not expensive this is it. The formula feels more like a mouse, and it blends great because it's so creamy. It's thick but not as much as some of the others that I mentioned. Since this has the olay moisturizer in it, I think this would work well with dry skin too.

-Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous. This claims to be a 3 in 1 with Foundation, primer, and concealer. I think it has really good coverage, but I don't think I would just it as just a concealer. I still use a primer with it, but this is the longest lasting foundation that I have. 10 hours later my face still looks great. The formula is thinner than some I mentioned before. It applies nice with either a brush or beauty blender.

-Rimmel Stay Matte. This is my newest foundation love. This just came out in the last month or two but it is amazing for a drugstore foundation. If you have oily skin, this is for you! If you have dry skin, don't even waste your money. It's super thick and has great coverage. And can I mention that it's so cheap! Under $6! I love the Stay Matte powder, so this is one I had to try!

Have you tried any of these foundations before? And let me know your favorite foundation in the comments!

  1. Great post Ashley!! Some of these I have been eyeing, like the UD Naked Skin, but when I tried it on in store the lightest was a bit too yellow on me. I love the formula though!!

    1. Thanks Margo! I do think my naked skin is a tab but yellow for me as well, but at least it matches better in the summer time!
