Happy One Year to my Blog! + Summer Beauty Essentials

Hi! A day last week marked the one year anniversary of my blog! I cannot believe that I have had this blog for a whole year already! It's crazy to me how fast the time went by. I wanted to get this post up sooner, but I figured it wasn't too late to celebrate right?!

I want to try to keep this intro short, but I really just wanted to say Thank you to every one who has commented, subscribed, or even just looked at my blog! You guys are truly amazing, and it means so much to me!

So for my first ever blog post last year, I did a Summer Beauty Essentials post, so today I am going to do another one (updated version!).  I tend to change up my beauty products every seasons because of the change of weather and I usually wear different colors in the spring/summer then I do in the fall/winter time.

So let's get into my Summer Must Haves!

Makeup- face, eyes, cheeks, and lips

Summer = sweating and makeup melting off. No one wants this to happen, so I try to prevent it with a good primer, a setting spray, and good long wearing foundations. From left to right-
-The Benefit Porefessional is not only good for minimizing your pores, but also for helping your foundation last longer!
-I'm currently using the Kat Von D Lock n Load makeup setting spray to also help keep my makeup last longer. I much prefer the UD all Nighter, but this works for now.
-The Estée Lauder Double Wear and the Covergirl Outlast are my favorite long lasting foundations for this time of the year.
-Sometime times on hot days I don't want to put heavy foundation on so the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is perfect because it's super lightweight!

From left to right-
-Maybelline Baby Lips (first two swatches). These don't have names on them for some reason. I love them because they are super bright colors, but they are wearable because they are sheer.
-Nyx Butter Glosses (next two swatches) in Creme Brûlée and Eclaire. I love these butter glosses so much and these two colors are perfect for summer.
-Mac Faux Lipstick. This is my new favorite lipstick. It's a mauve nude color that goes great with anything.

These are all my fsvorite summer Blushes and Bronzers. From left to right-
-Nars Laguna Bronzer and Deep Thoat Blush Duo. Laguna is my favorite bronzer at the moment and deep throat is a nice bright pink shade.
-Lorac TANalizer Duo. I love this bronzer because it's a super deep tan color that's great for contouring. The highlighter is gorgeous for summer also!
-Nars Orgasm Blush. This is my all time favorite blush and probably my most used one! It's so pretty for summer time because of the gold shimmer flecks in it.
-Benefit Coralista Blush. This is another favorite blush of mine for summer. The coral color is stunning on the cheeks this time of the year.

Ok this picture looks weird but I didn't have a favorite summer palette so I picked two colors from my Mac palette. The top is Three Ring Yellow by Mac and the bottom is Mermaid by Makeup Geek.

Nails and Scents

My favorite summer polish is this pretty turquoise color by Essie called In the Cab Ana. I also wear a lot of nude polish and my favorite is Essie's Urban Jungle

My favorite summer perfume is Viva La Juicy.

Skin and Hair Care

I like to use gradual self tanners and body Bronzers in the summer! There is also my favorite face lotion at the moment and two beach salt sprays. From left to right-
-St. Tropez Gradual Tan and Firming Lotion. This stuff is nice if you want a gradual and natural looking tan. Review coming soon!
-St. Tropez Body Bronzing Glow. This is a body bronzer that instantly makes you look tan, but washes off after one use. This stuff makes my arms super tan and is great if you don't feel like self tanning the night before.
-Lorac self TANalizer and body bronzer. This stuff is cool because it's an instant body bronzer like the St. Tropez one, but it also gradual tans your body!
-Aveeno Positivly Radiant Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15. It's really important to have a face lotion with SPF in it for the summer!
Mac Anthony Dream Waves Beach spray and Not Your Mothers Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. These are nice if you want that textured beachy wave look without using heat on your hair!!

So this is it for my Summer Besuty Essentials! This post ended up being alot longer than I intended, so if you read it all then props to you!

What are you Summer Beauty Essnetials? Let me know in the comments!

I'm a huge fan of UD Naked Skin foundation, it's sooo light and definitely perfect for summer because it doesn't feel cakey or sticky at all. :) I love the Juicy Couture perfume, such a perfect fruity-sweet scent!
