Hello!!! Have any of you tried out any makeup from the Jesse's Girl makeup line?? I'm not sure exactly where this cosmetic line is carried, but I've seen it around at Rite Aids where I live.
This makeup is super affordable and I've always been curious about it, but as always with cheap drugstore brands I was reluctant to try it. So many drugstore things are hit or miss, especially eye shadows!
So what did I think of this Palette?? Let me show you swatches and pictures first, then I'll share my thoughts!
This palette is called 'Brown Eyed Girl' and I purchased it for $3.99. There was two other palettes, a green toned one and a purple/blue toned one. I chose this one because I'm a sucker for neutrals, and I was drawn to the red and organs tones! For $3.99 you get 9 shadows, sounds like a pretty good deal right??The top picture is taken without a flash, and the bottom with a flash.
Here are the swatches, all without a primer. Most of these have a subtle shimmer to them, and there is one or two matte shades.
The look I created with this palette
I used the second shade in on my lid, and the fourth and third shade from the end in my crease.
My thoughts
-For $3.99, this palette is definitely a steal in my opinion. I'm really enjoying using this!
-The shadows have decent pigmentation. It's not the greatest in the world, but they are buildable and blend really well!
-I was really disappointed in a recent Nyx palette I purchased for $15, and I have to say this $4 palette is a lot better quality than the Nyx one!
-These shadows have little fall out, and the colors don't become mixed together so they look blah or muddy. They stay nicely, especially the darker ones!
-A lot of drugstore eyeahdaows that I buy I will only used them once or twice sadly, but that is not the case with this. I've reached for it a handful of times already!
-I would really recommend this if you're looking for an affordable drugstore palette!
