Hourglass Immaculate Foundation Review

Hello! Today I am going to review the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation!

I was given a sample at Sephora and I was excited to try it out, but at the same time I told myself 'there's no way I would spend that much money on a foundation'. Apparently, I lied to myself.

This foundation retails for $55 and I cringed when I purchased it.  I have never spent that much on a foundation before!

The packaging is nice. The tube is a sturdy metal and there is a pump which is a huge plus.

The formula seems pretty thick at first but it's super creamy and thins out when blended.

About this foundation-
From Hourglass's website
• Oil-free formula transforms from liquid to powder and dries down instantly to a longwearing velvet matte finish that never looks dull, flat or cakey.
• The ingredient Cashmere Kaolinite Clay plays an integral role. The advanced new clay has been shown to absorb 75% of its weight in sebum while retaining moisture in the skin.
• Unparalleled velvet matte finish eliminates the need for powder, blotting papers or constant touchups throughout the day.
• Immaculate has a weightless, airy and mousse-like texture.

This is also available in 16 shades ranging from very light to dark with pink, yellow, and neutral undertones. So there is a shave for everyone.

My thoughts-
-When I was testing this out with the sample I got, I seriously felt that this was the nicest thing I have ever put on my face. I knew I had to have this despite the price tag.
-The texture of this feels so soft and lightweight on the skin, it feels like you are wearing nothing!
-It blends in really nice and looks really natural.
-I never used a liquid to powder
foundation before, so I was a little skeptical but I really like the formula of it.
-I still use a setting powder with it, even though it turned to powder. I don't know why lol.
-It is really long wearing and it does keep my skin really matte all day.
-I would say it's a mediume coverage, but it really build able without looking cakey.
-I have used different makeup brushes and the beauty blender to apply this and the all work really well.

I have no bad things to say about this foundation! It's one of the best I've ever used and one that I would really recommend checking out if you can bare the price tag!

Have you tried the Hourglass Immaculate Foundation? If so, let me know your thoughts on it in the comments!

  1. It looks great on your skin Ashley! So glad you got it. When it comes down to it, I think women will pay for WHAT WORKS. We just want to know that it works! Lol I've been hearing a lot about hourglass beauty products lately. Are they new? Maybe they've been around and I'm just hearing about them. Lol I used Urban Decay, but now I'm testing MAC and Marc Jacobs.

    1. I totally agree Kim! I'm not sure how long rid brand has been around- I have a blush by them and I have heard great things about their ambient light powders. I do love urban decay and Mac is great too but I have not tried any Marc Jacobs

    1. Thanks Pilar! I don't mind paying a lot for a nice makeup product either, especially foundation but the most I ever spent was like $40 I think!

  3. This is really pretty! I think I'm gonna splurge and get a new liquid foundation for winter. I think the most I've ever spent on foundation was $40 for the MUFE HD, which I loved! Definitely worth it though in my opinion!
