Top Favorite Highlighters

*Hello!*
Today I'm going to share my top favorite and most used highlighters!! I feel like these are a makeup product that I use daily but don't talk about very often. I've acquired quite the collection of highlighters over the past year or so, so now I'm going to show you all my favorite ones!

Mac Soft and Gentle

This is a Mac mineralized skin finish and it's one I lusted after for a long time before I picked it up. It's a beautiful bronzy highlight, but once it's blended out on your cheek bones, it give you a nice, subtle glow and doesn't look a bronze as it does swatched or in the pan. If I could recommend one highlight out of all of mine it would be this one! It's also one that I think would look good with any skin tone.

The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer
This one is more of a champagne color, and another one of my top recommendations especially if you can get it on sale on Hautelook. It gives a nice glow to the skin and also makes a really nice lid color if you want to use it I your eye look too!

Nars Albatross
This was actually one of my first highlighters I owned, so it will always be one of my favorites. This one is a lot more subtle and it has a light golden flecks in it.

Stila Kitten Duo (pink side)
This is the Stila all over shimmer duo in Kitten. Both sides are nice for a highlight, but I prefer the pink side which is what is shown in the swatch. They are also nice mixed together. The bronze side is a little too dark for me, unless I'm going for a more bronzed look. This one is great because these can also be used as an eye shadow duo!

Physicans Formula Shrimmer Strip in Warm Nude

This one is really great because there's so many different colors in it that you can do a light, pink, or bronze highlight. It looks great with them all mixed, or just one side mixed, etc. The swatch shown is the row across the top mixed together. It's my favorite drugstore highlight and it's super affordable! Again, this is something that could be used for eyeshadow, and look nice on any skin tone because of the many different colors.

Dior Rose Diamond
This one was definitely a splurge and luxury item for me! I couldn't resist it because it is just so beautiful. They had a bronzer/champagne color called Amber Diamond but I opted for the Rose one because at the time I didn't have any pink toned highlights. This pairs super well with pink, mauve, nude, and Berry toned blushes! If you feel like splurging a little, this gem is definitely nice having in your makeup collection!

This is all for my favorite highlight post!

I will probably do a favorite blush and bronzer post, would any of you be interested in seeing those too??

Let me know what your favorite highlighters are in the comments!

  2. Oooooo, I've been thinking about Soft and Gentle! One of my favorite vloggers Claire Marshall likes it, and I think you just confirmed my decision to get it ;)

Currently I really like using Too Faced St. Tropez from the A La Mode palette for my cheek and eyebrow highlight, it gives that kind of "wet" shimmer that I really like haha. I'd love to see a bronzer collection!

  3. What a great collection! For some reason, I was ways under the impression use a "white-ish" or a color lighter than your skin to highlight. I really like this post, because I would have never thought to try anything like these, and our skin tone is very similar! That Dior one is absolutely stunning, but I'm definitely going to be picking up that Physicians Formula one next time!! And I second that blush and bronzer post!(;

    1. Thanks hillary!! I use to feel like same way, that's why my first one was the albatross one because its super light!! You can really use any color that's golden/pink/champagne and a lot of these come off way lighter when you acutlly apply them than they look in the pan! You'll love the Physicains formula one!

  4. I have Mary Lou! I'll be using her during the holidays. I love the MAC one! When I get my base foundation straight, I'll definitely purchase that. I have one by a Korean Brand Etude House and it's shaped like a candy bar (white chocolate). HaHaHa It's good, but I refuse to use it (mess it up). Would love to see a blush and bronzer review.
