Skin Care Sunday | My secret acne treatment

Hi :)
Welcome back for another skin care Sunday post! I planned to have this up earlier in the day but I wasn't able to post, so this is a very late skin care Sunday!  I titled this 'my secret acne treatment' but I don't exactly think this is a secret LOL. This is just something that I've learned is working to cure my acne spots recently.

Aloe gel!

Ok I don't know if curing is the right word, but it's definitely helping to heal my acne spots. I use it as a spot treatment at  night time and the next morning the blemish had reduced in size and is a lot less red. Almost all the way gone!

I just thought I would share this skin care tip with you guys, but please keep in mind that we all have different skin so just beacause this works for me doesn't mean it will work for you! Aloe can be used for a wide verity of things, as I'm sure you all already know!

Have you ever used Aloe for acne? Let me know in the comments!

  2. Will this work on spots? I recently got a couple of pimples which my husband couldn't resist to remind me it's due to all the 'crap' that I am testing (I want to box his ear) and I don't have any spot treatment with me because I almost never get them. I don't think we have this here though, Walgreen is US based?

    1. I use it as a spot treatment! Or you can put it all over your face too. I don't do that since I only have a few right now. And Im not sure if Walgreens is US or not, but you should be able to find aloe at any drugstore or even grocery store. It would be by the sunscreen I think since I think it's mainly used to soothe sun burns. Some of it is a green gel and some is clear like the one I have!
And I'm pretty sure all of mine are due to the new skin care set from Michael Todd I bought :( lol!

    2. If you can't get your hands on some aloe, then toothpaste works good as a spot treatment too!

  3. I've heard that aloe helps with clearing acne spots as well as scars. I haven't tried it yet, but the next time I have any acne issues I want to try this! Great post Ashley!

  4. Ashley, you have sprung a new one on me! I've never tried this! Does it matter if it's the (aloe) gel or lotion? It's inexpensive too.
