Makeup Brands That I've Never Tried | Wishlist

Hello! So I got inspiration for this post because I was browsing on Hautelook the other day and saw that Mally Beauty was on there. I've heard bloggers talk about this brand but I've never tried it. I didn't purchase anything but it got me thinking of all these brands I've never tried before. So I've created 'wishtlist' of sorts, which I've never done before but mostly I'm sharing some brands that I've never tried out before and the products that are top of my list to try from them! A lot of these brands are higher end, so that is probably why I haven't tried them out yet. As much as I'd love some of these, they would definitely be a splurge!
All of the images I'm showing are curtesy of Google, the brands website, or sephora/Ulta since I don't personally own any of them.

Mally Beauty
I'll start with Mally since this is what sparked my inspiration. I've heard about this brand, but not by many. I don't know if it's underrated, but they do sell it at Ulta. I've always been curious about their Shimmer, Shape, and Glow palettes and their blush and highlight duo looks nice. I'm a sucker for the 'all in one' palettes. They also offer sets and collections which is nice too.

It Cosmetics
It Cosmetics is a brand that is definitely raved about. It's also sold at Ulta. I've been wanting to try their CC cream, mainly because I heard its full coverage. Their Vitality Face Disc looks amazing (like I said, I'm a sucker for the all in one face palettes), and I've always lusted after the naturally pretty palette.

Becca
Becca is quite a pricey brand so these would definitely be luxury items for me. Everyone raves about the highlighters, especially opal and the Jaclyn Hill champagne pop. I'm interested in moonstone (shown above) because I think it's beautiful and so is the name. Their blushes look gorgoues too, and how can any nude/neutral shadow lover not want this palette! I'm hoping to pick up this highlighter at th sephora VIB sale next month!

Bobbie Brown
I think this makeup like is known for their shimmer bricks (first picture on the left), I personally think there are drugstore ones too similar to this to splurge, but I can't help admire these beautiful shadow palettes!

Clinique
Clinique is pretty affordable but I wanted to mention is because I haven't tried any of their products for at least 10 years. A lot of people talk about the cubby lip crayons and the cheek pop blushes. I'm curious about their stay matte oil free foundation and the acne solution one. If anyone has tried their of these foundations please let me know!

Laura Mercier
I've heard good things about these two face products which are the Silk Creme oil free foundation and the foundation primer. Again let me know if you've tried these!

Marc Jacobs
I am lusting over this Marc Jacobs contour palette. It comes in 3 different shades (I think?) and I'm not sure which best suits my skin tone since I've only seen this online and not in stores yet. But I'm really hoping to pick this up or at least swatch of during the VIB sale next month a well! The only sephora near me is in JCpenny and they don't have this, but I will be taking the almost hour trip next month so visit a full sized sephora for the sale!

YSL
The last brand I'm going to talk about is YSL.  I've seriously lusted over these lipsticks for forever. The baby doll mascara is one that's raved about but I'm sure there are drugstore ones that's are just as good, if not better. Their blushes and shadow palettes are just gorgoues!

This is all for my 'wishlist' and brands that I've never tried but wanted to!  I'm sorry this was so long and if it was boring LOL!
If you guys enjoyed this post, let me know and id be happy to do another one, maybe on drugstore brands or brands or ones from other countries that I want to try?

Let me know in the comments if you've tied anything that I've listed and if they are worth the splurge! I also plan on doing a 'splurge of skip' post on the highend brands that I have tried!

  1. I have one YSL lipstick, Fuchsia in Rage, it's gorgeous and worth every penny. IT Cosmetics CC cream is amazing, I received a sample size of it from ipsy and I personally find it to worth the money too. I read a really good review on the Marc Jacobs contour palette too but I don't think I would ever pick it up for myself. I do have one Marc Jacobs lipstick, I like it but frankly other than the beautiful packaging, the quality is just normal. It's good but not mind blowing wow.

    1. I definitely need to try the cc cream. That's good to know you think the YSL lipsticks are worth it! Maybe I'll have to splurge, but I'll skip the Marc Jacobs ones since they aren't as good!

  2. I haven't tried any of these things, not even my mom (whose experienced some of high end make up and skin care). It Cosmetics looks like the kind of brand that never goes wrong, because everything they come up with always get raved by so many bloggers. As much as I'm curious about Becca's highlighters I don't think I will ever pay that much money for a highlighter, it's too expensive.

    1. I agree that it cosmetics is really raved about! And they eye expensive highlighters! I'm hoping to get one during the sephora sale but I don't think I could pay full price for it.

  3. Clinique lip crayons looks slick! I personally only use mascara. On formal occasions I bust out the red lips!

  9. This is such a great post Ashley! I don't own anything from Becca and really really want a highlighter! It cosmetics is amazing but I haven't tried the CC cream yet. I like Mally but probably would never have bought anything if my mom hadn't introduced me to her!

  11. I love the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and the Clinique Chubby Sticks (original version), but this is about everything I have tried from your wishlist. The Bobby Brown shimmerbricks were the first ever high end product I got, and you are right, they are easily dupable. But pretty nonetheless.

    1. I actually think I did have a sample of the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer before! And yes those shimmer bricks are still pretty even if there is dupes for them!

  12. I have some of these sitting on my shelf waiting to be reviewed Ashley! LOL I have the Marc Jacobs contour palette, Mally Shimmer Shape & Glow & Lipsticks, and Becca Highlighters. I've heard really good things about everything you listed. I will tell you this! Mally and It Cosmetics you could get from QVC and they have a generous return policy. Read it before purchasing. But if you don't like something all you have to do is return it in 30 or so many days. I'll try and review these after Halloween. I've been so consumed with the house.

  13. So many brands here are on my wishlist as well! I've been dying to try Marc Jacobs's makeup stuff (especially one of those contour duos), as well as Bobbi Brown and even some Charlotte Tilbury. It's so hard to make a major splurge without swatching products first though, and I only have a JCP Sephora near me too to try stuff out :( Oh the struggles of a makeup junkie haha.
