Hi :)
Today I have an exciting post! I'm doing a review collaboration with my good friends Kim from A Very Sweet Blog and Pilar from Beauty and More by Pilar on the Doll 10 Cheek to Chic Blush and Contour Palette. Kim entered a giveaway for this palette on Instagram and tagged me and Pilar in the comments, so they sent her 3 of these palettes so we could win them too! A big thank you to Kim for including me and Pilar in this giveaway! I'm so blessed to have such amazing and generous friends that I've met through blogging!
So today Kim, Pilar, and myself are reviewing this palette so make sure to check out their blogs too so you can see their reviews!
This brush is gorgoues and one of the softest brushes that I own! I prefer to us it for blush but I do like how it's angled and could be used for contouring as well!
Here's pictures the palette with the flash off (top) and on (bottom). Doll 10s website (and the back of the palette) claims there's a two blushes, two contours, a bronzer, and a highlight. I'm a bit confused on one of the shades but I'll get to that in a minute when I describe the shades after the swatched.
Top picture (top row in palette)
Peachy Keen (blush)- this is a pretty coral shade.
Dolled Up (blush)- a deep pink toned blush with slight purple undertones.
Golden Pearl (bronzer)- the lighter of the two bronzer/contour shades.
Bottom picture (bottom row in palette)
Shady Lady (contour)- OK this is where on confused. This is suppose to be a contour shade but to me it's a soft plum shade so I consider this a blush more than a contour. I know some contours are cool toned like this blush, and it might work that way for some skin tones but this is definitely a soft plum shade that's very, very natural looking so I don't see how this could be a contour (at least on my skin tone). I actually didn't know this was suppose to be a contour shade until I read the description on the website! And this funny because this is actually my favorite in the palette and I've been using it as blush for the last few weeks LOL
Sculpted (contour)- darker of the two bronzer/contour shades.
Glow (highlight)- a pretty but soft champagne color.
-I've been using Sculpted for my contour and it's such a great shade. It doesn't come off orange and it blends out super nice and natural.
-Dispite my confused and miss use of Shady Lady, it's been my favorite 'blush' in the palette. It's so natural looking and goes with every eye look. Even if it's suppose to be a contour, I'm still going to use it as a blush because in my opinion it looks like a soft plum color.
-The highlight shade Glow is gorgoues. It's got a faint shimmer in it so it's not over the top. It gives you a subtle, natural glow.
-Peachy Keen and Dolled Up are also gorgoues and make such pretty summer shades.
My Over All Thoughts-
-I'm going to come right out and say that I am in LOVE with this palette.
-The shades are all pigmented and they blend out super nice. I've had no fading or splotching throught the day.
-This is super great for travel since it's sleek.
-I don't have a palette that has both blushes, bronzers and a highlight so I'm super excited to own this.
-The brush is amazing for applying blush. And I'm super picky about my blush brushes so I wasn't even intending to use it for blush!
I would definitely recommend this palette if anyone is thinking about trying it!
I actually thought I never heard of Doll 10 before but then I realized I recieved a blush from them in a Ipsy bag before. Unfortunately it's a cream blush, and I'm not a fan of cream blushes. But I was looking on their website and a lot of their products look great. There's an eyeshadow palette that looks amazing!
Again I wanted to thank Kim for choosing me and Pilar to share these palettes with! Don't forgot to check out their posts on this as well!
Have you ever tried Doll 10 cosmetics before? If so, leave your thoughts on them in the comments!
