Holiday Eye Look with Drugstore Products

*Hello!*
I can't believe how fast the holidays are coming this year!! I hope you all had a nice thanksgiving!
I'm going to share a holiday eye look that is perfect for Christmas and New Years! It's a deep smokey eye with hints of green metallic/chrome, And the best part is, I use all drugstore products to get this look!

I was inspired for the makeup look from a video I watched on YouTube recently!

How I got this look

I used both the Maybelline Nudes palette and the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette to get this look.
1. I first used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Audacious Asphalt all over my lid for my eyeshadow base.
2. I used this medium brown color from the Nudes palette in my crease and blended it up towards my brow bone.
3. I used the Definer shade from the Comfort Zone palette all over my lid ontop of the color tattoo and blended it a little into my crease.
4. Lastly, I used the black color from the Nudes palette in the outter corner and on my lower lash line.

For my liners I used L'Oreal intense liquid liner and L'Oreal Silkissime pencil liner. My mascara is the new Maybelline Lash Sensation (review coming soon!!).

I was really happy the way this turned out, and I'm already planning to wear it for New Year's Eve!

I hope you all enjoyed this makeup look! I will definitely be doing more holiday makeup looks all next month for Christmas and New Years!

What makeup look will you be wearing for the holidays??

Nars Almeria Blush Review

It's no secret that I love Nars blushes! They are one of my all time favorite, and I added Almeria to my collection during the VIB sale.

This blush is part of their Holiday collection, so I am or sure if it's limited edition or not. If it is, pick it up while you can of its one you are interested in!!

The packaging is the same as all Nars blushes, but it has the detail that matches all of this years holiday collection on it! I mentioned in my haul post that I couldn't get a good picture of this because of lighting. I tried a few times and they all looked the same. This looks a lot darker/red toned in the picture than is does in person, but my swatches are accurate. I did look on Nars website for a better picture, but I did not think it met what the blush really looks like either.

This color is described as a 'tan rose'.

I had no intention of getting this, or any blush at the VIB sale because I have so many. When I walked over to the Nars section I saw this and just swatched it out of curiosity because it was unlike any blush I own.  I liked it, but I put it back and walked away. Then couldn't stop thinking about it LOL. The lady helping me actually put this on me when I went back to look at it again and I fell in love!

My overall thoughts
-I really do love this blush and I think it's making a great staple in my collection because I don't own anything like it.
-I use this with a very light hand because Nars blushes are super pigmented. And since this is on the darker side, I don't want clown cheeks on my pale skin.
-it's super blendable and it's a great shade for everyday wear!
-I really honestly think it's a shade that every skin tone can wear! It will definitely show up on darker skin tones, and looks great on lighter ones when used with a light hand!

Like I said before, I love Nars blushes already so I knew I would like this one a lot!

Have you tried out this Nars Almeria blush before? What is your favorite blush by Nars? Let me know in the comments!

FOTD- Autumn Colors

Hello!! Today I am going to share another Fall makeup look I created. A few days ago I just shared an eye look, but today you get to see my full face! Lucky you! Just kidding ;)

I haven't done a full face makeup post in a while so I thought I would do one instead of showing just eye makeup.

What I used for face products

-Mac Pro Longwear Concealor
-Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
-Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
-Kat Von D Blush in Wish
-Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten

For the Eyes
For this look I used the Jesse's Girl palette in brown eyed girl. This palette had such gorgoeus colors for fall!

What I used
-I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold as a base on my lid area and inner corner.
-I used 1 (burnt orange color 4th from last) in my crease and blended it up to my brow bone. I used 2 (Orange shade to the left of 1) to blend it out.
-I used 3 (red color to the right of 1) in my crease and outer corner.
-I used 4 (light gold, 2nd color in palette) all over my lid.
-I used 5 (dark burgundy color, last in palette) on my lower lash line.

-For my eyeliner I used L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner and Urban Decay 24/7 shadow stick in Rehab on my water line.

Fall Makeup Picks

Hi :) It seems like every season I do a post on what my favorite makeup items for that time of the year are. I'm continuing that trend today and sharing what makeup I am loving for Fall. Most of these are eyeahdaows, blushes, and lipsticks because I don't really change up anything else for the season. I love the darker lip/cheek colors for Fall and using Autumn colors on my eyes.

Lip Colors

From left to right- Nars Shrinager, Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice, Nyx Butter Lipstick in Pop Explosif, Tarte Plummy Rose, Nyx Butter Gloss in Apple Strudle.
All these lip colors are really similar, but I have been more daring with berry toned colors lately. I still try to keep darker lip colors on the nuetral side, because they are a little out of my comfort zone!

Blushes
From left to right- Hourglass Ambiant Lightening Blush in Mood Exposure, Nars Sin, Kat Von D Everlasting Blush in Wish.
Like the berry lips, I like darker, Berry toned blushes for Fall too. Nars sin is my absolute favorite. Mood Exposure is a great one because it's not super dark when it's applied so it's great for everyday wear. I chose a peached toned one as well, because this blush is a more cool toned peach so it gives you a nice neutral color for fall!

Eyeshadows

From left to right (top row)- L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum, Maybelline Nudes Palette, L'Oreal Infalloble Eyeahdow in Amber Rush, (bottom row) Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette, Jesse's Girl Brown Eyes Palette.
The two L'Oreal shadows are some of my favorites for this time of year. Smoldering Plum is such a beautiful deep purple. I picked the two neutral palettes because the Maybelline one has a lot of pretty gold and bronze tones, and the UD one is very cool toned. The Jesse's Girl palette is beyond perfect for this time of year. I am so obsessed with the Orange and red tones!

What are your favorite makeup products for Fall? Let me know in the comments!

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I've been meaning I do a review for the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation for quite some time now but I kept forgetting or I had other posts I wanted to do! I wanted to try this out for a long time because it's talked really highly of in the beauty community.

I have been using this foundation since the end of May and I think I mentioned it in a few favorites posts.
This can be found at Sephora (the full sized sephoras, not the ones in jc penny) or any Estée Lauder counters (macys, nordstroms, etc).

This was $37, which was cheaper than I thought it would be. Since most of my high end foundations that I've tried (UD, Tarte, MUFE) are around the same price, I was okay with paying the amount that this cost! I expected an Estée Lauder foundation to be $40 or more!

The packaging is nice. It's a hard glass bottle. I wish it came with a pump (actually it really bothers me that it doesn't) because I find the product kind of annoying to get out. If anyone knows of a pump that will fit this please let me know!

About this foundation-
From Estée Lauder website

"15-hour staying power. Flawless all day. This worry-free, long-wearing makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity.
Won't change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Feels lightweight and comfortable.
BENEFITS
Long-wear: 15 hours. Medium coverage. Our #1 Makeup.
COVERAGE
Medium, Buildable
FINISH
Natural, semi-matte

FORMULA FACTS
  • Oil-free
  • Dermatologist-tested
  • Non-acnegenic; won't clog pores
  • Fragrance-free"

Do I agree with all of those stated above? Yes, 100%.  Except I have not worn this for 15 hours straight, so I cannot say if that is true.

My over all thoughts-
-Like I said before, I agree with all that it claims. I feel that it is long wearing and makes my skin look flawless all day. The finish is very natural, and I do think the coverage is a very good medium to full coverage.
-The formula is on the thinner/runny side, but not as much as the UD naked skin foundation.
-They offer a wide variety of shades, for both light and dark skin tones as well as pink, yellow, and neutral undertones.
-I've applied this with both my beauty blender and foundation brushes, and hey both work well. This blends really nicely and doesn't dry too quickly so it's easy to apply.
-It doesn't feel heavy, thick or greasy on the skin. It's super light weight!

So this is a foundation that I really recommened! If you are fans of the UD naked skin, makeup forever mat velevt+, or the Covergirl outlast stay fabulous foundation, then I think you would like this one too!!

Have you tried this foundation before? If so, leave your thoughts on it in the comments!
