Hello Lovelies!
All week I've been meaning to film some videos and do some makeup looks for you all but I've had such a horrible headache since Monday. So I haven't felt like adventuring much outside of my bed the past few days. Ugh, sorry for the little rant, next week my blog will be more exciting, I promise!
Today I'm going to be reviewing the Elf Contour Palette. If you watched my recent YouTube video on a back to school makeup look that was fast, easy, and affordable then you probably saw me using this palette!
I did have to order this online, and I haven't seen it in stores. But it's so worth placing an order because it's only $6!!
In this palette you get a highlight shade, a banana shade that's usually used for setting under eye concealer, and bronzer shade for warming up and adding color to your face, and a bronzer for contouring.
Here are the swatches of all four shades.
-The first one is he highlight shade, which looks pretty white in this picture because for some reason I satched it really heavily, but blended out it gives a nice champagne golden highlight.
-The second one is the banana shade. I did use this a few times to set my concealer and it worked well.
-The third shade is the bronzer for warming up your face. It gives some nice color and I like to use this if I have self tanned.
-The last one is the contour shade. It's cool toned so it doesn't look orange on the skin.
The cool thing about these palettes is that the shades pop out so you can interchange the colors. You can customize your palette and add in the blushes or any shades from the bronzer palette! I did show a clip of this in my video as well.
My Thoughts-
-This is such a great palette for the price. I was surprised that I liked this because I haven't been too impressed with any other Bronzers by Elf that I have tried before.
-The shades are all pigmented, and the highlight shade is a good dupe for the Nars Albatross highlighter.
-The packaging is nice and sleek so it's great for travel, especially if you customize the palette with some blushes.
-I haven't tried any of the highend contour palettes that are popular right now so I don't have anything to compare it to, but like I said for $6 you can't go wrong!
-There are definitely better Bronzers out there that I liked better than these ones, but I'm still very happy with this palette for how cheap it was!
Have you tried out this Elf Contour Palette? If so, leave your thoughts on it in the comments!
