Lorac Light Source Illuminating Highlighter in Moonlight

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on my newest edition to my highlighter collection- the Lorac Light Source Illiumiating Highlighter in Moonlight. I've been on a highlighter craze, and when I swatched these Lorac highlighter in Ulta, I wanted every single one of them. There is 4 to choose from, but I went with Moonlight because it was different from all my other highlighters. 

These retail for $22 and can be found at Ulta. I did not see them on the Lorac website. 

The packaging is very nice and has a pretty gunmetal metallic detail, and a megnetic closure.

Moonlight is described as a 'Peal Pink', and while I have other pink toned highlighters, this one is different because the shade is a very soft pink and it is pearly like its described. The other pink highlighters that I own are definitely way more pink/darker than this. 

My Thoughts-

-I am on loveee with this highlighter, and yes I still want the other three! They are all gorgeous I can't stand it. 

-This is a stunning highlight that is very pigmented, but it's not too intense. It gives a very nice glow and sheen without being sparkly or shimmery. 

-The highlighters in the ABH glow kit that I own are very intense, and this one is very different. I like my highlight to stand out, and Moonlight definitely does, but it a different way than the ABH glow kits do. It's hard to describe unless you own them both and see for yourself. Think more 'sheen' instead of 'shimmer and sparkle'. 

-Like the description says, they can be sheered out, or built up which is great if you do want a more intense highlight. 

-The shade is pink toned, but it does not look very pink when it's applied, but you can see the pearly tone in it. It looks good with any blush color in my opinion. 

-These highlights would be perfect for anyone who likes highlights and illuminating powders but not super intense ones!

I definitely recommend checking these out, and I can't wait to pick up more of them!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Review | That Glow

Hello! It's no secret that I am obsessed with the Anastasia Glow kit that I purchased recently! I shared it in a Friday Favorites post and in my May Favorites video earlier this week!

Today I'm going to be sharing my review for the glow kit in That Glow, showing swatched and all that fun stuff, and telling you guys why this palette is freaking amazing. 

These retail for $40. You get four highlight powder that are pretty big, so if you break it down that comes out to about $10 per highlight. Which I personally think is an amazing deal, since they are great quality, and you could not get a high end highlight powder this size (or any size) for $10. Her other single highlights are $28, just saying! 

From left to right-

Sunburst- 'a bright , luminous gold with a metallic finish'. This look super yellow on the pan, which turned me off at first, but as you can see it's a gorgeous golden/champagne shade. This one is definitely my favorite. 

Golden Bronze- 'sultry, warm bronze with a gold-flecked finish'. For me this shade has to be used with a light hand since it's a deeper color. This would look beautiful on anyone who has a nice tan, or deep skin tone. 

Bubbly- 'rose champagne with a pearlescent finish'. This is another stunning shade and next to Sunburst it's my second favorite. 

Dripping in Gold- 'lavish gold with a vivid, reflective finish'. This one is super similar to bubbly, and almost looks identical swatched and in the pan. I find the Bubble is more intense, and Dripping in gold is a bit more subtle. 

My Thoughts

-As I've said a hundred times already, I'm in love with this palette. The colors are stunning and the pigmentation is awesome. If you want an intense highlight, then these are for you. But if you aren't into intense highlights, then these can definitely be used with a light hand for a more subtle highlight. 

-I actually prefer these over my Becca Moonstone highlighter, which I never thought I would say. So if you are a fan of Becca highlighters, then I think you'd love these palettes. 

-My only complaint is that I wish there was a mirror in the packaging, and I kind of wish that Bubbly and Dripping in Gold we a bit more different. I still love both of them so it's okay, but it would have been nice if they were a bit more different. 

I had a hard time choosing between this one and the one called Gleam, which is more pink toned. I would love that one too, and the new one called Sun Dipped (it's similar to That Glow) but I would feel that had an excessive amount of highlighters if I owned them as well.

Top Favorite Highlighters

Today I'm going to share my top favorite and most used highlighters!! I feel like these are a makeup product that I use daily but don't talk about very often. I've acquired quite the collection of highlighters over the past year or so, so now I'm going to show you all my favorite ones! 

Mac Soft and Gentle 

This is a Mac mineralized skin finish and it's one I lusted after for a long time before I picked it up. It's a beautiful bronzy highlight, but once it's blended out on your cheek bones, it give you a nice, subtle glow and doesn't look a bronze as it does swatched or in the pan. If I could recommend one highlight out of all of mine it would be this one! It's also one that I think would look good with any skin tone. 

The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer 

This one is more of a champagne color, and another one of my top recommendations especially if you can get it on sale on Hautelook. It gives a nice glow to the skin and also makes a really nice lid color if you want to use it I your eye look too! 

Nars Albatross 

This was actually one of my first highlighters I owned, so it will always be one of my favorites. This one is a lot more subtle and it has a light golden flecks in it.

Stila Kitten Duo (pink side)

This is the Stila all over shimmer duo in Kitten. Both sides are nice for a highlight, but I prefer the pink side which is what is shown in the swatch. They are also nice mixed together. The bronze side is a little too dark for me, unless I'm going for a more bronzed look. This one is great because these can also be used as an eye shadow duo!

Physicans Formula Shrimmer Strip in Warm Nude 

This one is really great because there's so many different colors in it that you can do a light, pink, or bronze highlight. It looks great with them all mixed, or just one side mixed, etc. The swatch shown is the row across the top mixed together. It's my favorite drugstore highlight and it's super affordable! Again, this is something that could be used for eyeshadow, and look nice on any skin tone because of the many different colors. 

Dior Rose Diamond 

This one was definitely a splurge and luxury item for me! I couldn't resist it because it is just so beautiful. They had a bronzer/champagne color called Amber Diamond but I opted for the Rose one because at the time I didn't have any pink toned highlights. This pairs super well with pink, mauve, nude, and Berry toned blushes! If you feel like splurging a little, this gem is definitely nice having in your makeup collection!
