Weekend Post #5

Happy Sunday everyone!! My week flew by again just like last week did! 

I was excited this week because it was my best friends 25th birthday so we planned a fun day for us to hangout! 

We went down to Ann Arbor and ate some yummy Chinese, got bubble tea, went to cool bookstores, ect!

I was obsessed with all these cute notebooks and journals that were in a shop downtown.

Here's what I do at work when I'm not busy with clients. Right now I'm reading the 5th book in the lying game series. 

Made some yummy and healthy stir fry for dinner this week. I made it with chicken, shrimp, green beans, zucchini, peppers, brown rice, and chashews.  

Got some new fitness things! Hubby picked them up for me at 5 below. 

Sundsy we cleaned house and relaxed at home.

Weekend Post #4

Hey everyone! I'm always surprised that it's already time to do a weekend post! It seems like I just did one because my weeks go by so fast.  Not too much going on this week, lots of work and laziness when I'm not at work. 

On Tuesdays I came home to a cute surprise from my husband. 

He bought me flowers and cooked me dinner and I was so excited. My cat is totally photo bombing this picture. 

I fell on the ice in the parking lot of my work and got a nice bruise on my hand lol. Anyone else ready for winter to be over?? 

Made some yummy smoothies for breakfast this week using vanilla almond milk, oats, and frozen mango. 

Here's my cats being werid. I found them both sleeping in my bathroom like this lol. 

Today we went to my parents for dinner and spent some time at their house. I always miss the view of the lake since I don't live there anymore. It's even pretty in winter!

And my mom bought me a new coffee mug! Love hello kitty!!

Weekend Post #3

Hey guys!! Time for my #3 weekend post!! It seems like

This week was pretty unevetful. I spent 3 days home from work because of strained muscles in my back and shoulder, and I have a little cold.  I pretty much did a whole lot of nothing. I caught up on some laundry and housework but that's no fun. Lol. 

I spent the majority of my time at home watching Pretty little liars on netflix. I'm on season 2, and I seriously just can't stop watching. This show is like crack. 

We were having crazy weather this week. It was super warm on Thursday, and then it started snowing like crazy, and then pouring rain with thunder and lightening. What the heck. And now everything is soaking wet LOL. 

I did get to do a little bit of shopping. I picked up a new fossil purse, some bath bombs, and Mac prodcuts, and some shirts from Forever 2. If anyone wants to see a more in depth haul let me know! 

I'm reading the 4th book in the Lying Game Series. 

Saturday night we got take our Mexican Food with some friends. So yum. 

Suprise! I ended up coloring my hair. It was suppose to be a dark red brown but it turned out a black with a tint of purple. Opps lol. 

Sunday I thought my outfit was cute (ignore the messy room and smudgy mirror ha). My husband and I went out and got coffee and did some target shopping and then relaxed at home!

Weekend Post #2

Hello!! It's time for my second weekend post! If any one doesn't know what this is or didn't see my first weekend post, it's basically a post that bloggers share at the end of the week with little bits from their life and random things that were going on. I saw a few of these from blogs that I follow so I decided to join in!! 

So the first exciting thing that happened this week was my sister in law had her baby! We got to welcome my nephew into the family. He was born on Wednesday and today (Sunday) I went with my mom to see him.

Friday (valentines day) was my nieces 3rd birthday!  I didn't go see her on Friday because my sister in law was still in the hospital,  so when we went to see my nephew today I was able to give her the birthday gift I bought her.

I bought markers to go with her coloring books. She made a mess. Opps ;) 

I've been drinking a lot of hot tea and honey lately. I'm usually a big coffee drinker but I've cut down a lot and drink tea instead. These yogi teas are amazing! I'm obsessed. 

This is a crappy picture, but on Valentines day my husband and I went to 5 guys burgers and fries for dinner. We didn't want to go to a resturant because we knew it would be packed. This was our first time eating there and it was yummy! I forgot to take a picture walking in so I took this one when we were driving away lol!

I've been kind of lazy to cook this week but tonight I made chicken, potatoes, green beans with zucchini and squash in the oven. Super good and easy to make! 

This is all for my weekend post! Other than my nephew being born, not much exciting stuff happened!

Weekend Post #1

Hey everyone!! Has anyone else seen these weekend/weekenders posts going around? Some of the blogs I follow have been doing these, and basically you share little bits and pieces of your life during the week in a post typically when the week is over.  I really thought this idea was great and I want to join in on the fun. I got really great feedback from sharing my end of 2013 post where I shared more of my personal life with my followers so I thought this would be something you guys enjoy too!!

Now before I start I'm going to say I'm not sure how many fun and excited things I will have to share because I work 50+ hours a week. So I rarely have time to myself because I'm at work all day. But I will share random things like what I'm cooking, things I'm reading, what my husband and I are doing on the weekends, and if anything exciting is happening during the day. 

So now that I've typed an uber long description, let's get into the post!! 

Right now we are in the process of finishing our basement and my husbands office/game room now is completed!! We put in carpet last weekend and then spent some time decorating it with video game posters and decals, and some black light posters. These couches that are in the picture are actually for the living room down there, but since that isn't finish and we don't have a place to put them, we put them here for now. We are going to replace them with black ones later. 

I mentioned in my 2014 goal post that I'm trying to eat healthier and control my portions as well. For dinner a day last week I made chicken and steak fijitas with green and red peppers and some yellow rice. This may not be the healthiest thing in the world, but hey it was delicious and better then getting take out right? ;) I don't know if I mentioned it before but I LOVE to cook!

This week I finished this book called Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I read a lot of young adult books and this one is a contemporary. It was really good and it's one of my new favorites. I didn't want this book to end because I loved it so much. 

I found my kitties cuddling, which is a rare sight. I tried to take a picture really quick before they moved so it's kind of blurry. 

I got some books in the mail and a box from Ulta! Expect a haul and some reviews coming soon!! 

Some other things that were going on-

I had to miss work on Thursday because I had a doctors appointment at 11. I missed my doctors appointment because I got my car stuck in my damn driveway from the snow, and had to reschedule for that afternoon. I has my blood drawn for the first time and it was not fun. Not cool. 

My sister in law is going to have her baby soon, any time now! I can't wait to meet my nephew! So excited!
