Fighting the Winter Blues- 5 at home beauty treatments to help you relax!

Hey guys!! It's been an extremely cold and hard winter where I live this year! I think it's safe to say that we all want spring time to come. A lot of areas in the states have also been effected by this winter too- areas that usually are warm!

Has anyone else just felt blah, lazy, and unmotivated like I do lately?

Here are 5 at home 'spa day' beauty treatments you can do to help fight the winter blues, relax, and feel better!

*Also all of these images and DIY recipies I am posting on here are from Pinterest!*

1. Take a hot bath

This is probably my all time favorite thing to do to relax, especially when I'm cold! I love soaking in hot water. Throw in some bubbles, bath salts, bath bombs, or essential oils and your good to go! Grab some magazines or a book, sit and read, and relax!

2. Give yourself a facial

This goes hand in hand with #1. While I'm in the bath I like to throw on a face mask. My personal favorite is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. Wether your mask is store bought or homemade, there is something so great about a face mask. My skin always feels so good, clean, and refreshed afterwards.

3. Give yourself a mani pedi

Wether your doing the whole treatment or simply just painting your nails, we always feel better/pretty when have our nails and toes done.
If you want to do the whole treatment, grab a pedi bowl, some sugar scrub, lotions, ect!

4. Herbal Face Steam

This is good for taking toxins out of your skin! Use a bowl of steaming hot water with fresh cilantro and basil leaves and steam for about 10 minutes. Hold your face 10-12 inches above the steaming bowl with a towel draped over your head to keep the steam in.

5. Try some yoga or meditation

Yoga and mediation helps relieve stress and anxiety. I know this isn't particularly a beauty treatment, but it's good for our physical and mental health, and if we are healthy and happy in those ways our inner/outer beauty will be more prominent.

  3. Great post and recommendations! I have never tried a bath bomb or bath salts and would really like to. And I would really like to figure out a way to do a reliable pedi at home b/c I don't trust salons no matter how high-scale they might be. Btw I watched one of your YT videos. So yeah you need to post the one you taped recently... now! :)

    1. Lol oh gosh my old videos are so bad!!! And bath bombs are amazing you would love them! I actually work at a nail salon but I understand what you mean. It's really hard to find one that's clean and does a good job. I would probably never get my nails done anywhere else lol!
