Hello! If you saw my recent haul post, then you probably saw the two L'Oreal La Lacque lip crayons I picked up. Today I'm sharing my thoughts on them! These were release a while ago and I think they recently re released them. I was curious so I picked two of them up since I never did the first time these came out.
These made it into my favorites video, which should be up in a few days. I mentioned in the video (and my haul post) that I couldn't find the names of them on the tube. Finally I noticed that they are on a sticker on top of the cap, and now I feel silly for raging about how I couldn't find the name LOL.
Choco-Laque is a a pink/mauve color that's a good 'my lips but better' shade. It's more cool toned than a lot of my shades like this so its a nice change.
Lacque-y You is a raspberry toned color. It's not quite red, and not quite pink. It's a bold color for me, but I wanted to try something new!
Here are pictures of me wearing both shades. The lighting is way different in these pictures. The laque-y you was taken outside and I do have some self tanner on wearing the Choco-Lacque color.
My thoughts-
-Since I already mentioned above that these made it to my favorites this month, I obviously really like them.
-I am happy with both colors that I chose. Choco-Lacque is great for everyday. Lacque-y You is bold for me but I was surprised at how much I liked the color. (Props and thanks for all my friends on here that have in encouraged me to try bold lip colors!)
-I like the packaging of them. They are super sleek, twist up, and are easy for travel and storage.
-The formula is super creamy and very comfortable to wear. They are glossy, but not over the top glossy. There is no shimmer, just a pretty shine to them.
-They are super easy to apply. Sometimes with lipsicks I find it hard to outline my lips well, especially my top lip and with darker colors. I did not have this problem at well and I think it's due to the size and shape of this lip crayon. It's perfect for application in my opinion.
-The staying power was okay. I found that the nude color faded faster, which is expected. The raspberry color kind of faded and got smeared when I was eating and drinking, but that happens with a lot of lip products I own so I wasn't too disappointed. I can't speak for the staying power of the matte formula, but mattes always seem to last longer anyways.
-I do want to pick up a matte formula of these but I try to limit myself to picking up tons of shades from one product because I have so many lipsticks already. I will probably just choose one shade but I might do a comparing post on ty formulas!
-Overall I really recommend these! I'm curious as to how these compare to the Colorpop Lippie Sticks (I think that's the name??). I've been wanting to try those out too!
Have you tried out these Loreal Lippies? If so, leave your thoughts on them in the comments!
