5 Lipsticks for Fall | Collab with Reflection of Sanity

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

I'm really excited about today's post because I'm doing a collab with my good friend Shireen from Reflection of Sanity ! I was thrilled when we decided to do a collab together, and if you don't follow her blog, go check her out! You guys will love her- she has awesome content, is super sweet and genuine, and every one of her posts leaves me smiling and laughing out loud! I'm so happy to have met her through blogging!

For our collab, we decided to show 5 lipsticks for Fall and how to wear them. We included a makeup look with each lipstick we chose, which I thought was super fun and different from all of the past 'fall favorites' posts I've done where I just showed the products!

Lipstick #1
First up we have Mac Twig. This might be my all time favorite lipstick for Fall. I also have a dupe for this that I'll include later in the post.
For this I just used my Morphe 9N blush palette and Nars Kalahari Duo for a natural eye and cheek look.

Lipstick # 2
Next is Mac Whirl, which is a pretty matte brownish shade.
I used Tarte Exposed for my cheeks and the BH cosmetics Shaaanxo palette.

Look #3
For this look I used Nyx Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken. This has been one of my go to lip colors recently.
I used my Morphe 35O and Morphe 9N palette for this, and created a neutral look.

Look # 4
I used Maybelline Rum Riche for this look. It's a good red for everyday wear, and it's not super red so if red isn't in your comfort zone, then it's perfect.
I used the Kat Von D shade and light eye palette and Nars Almeria blush. The Kat Von D palette has been one of my favorites recently!

Look #5
For this last look I used Nars Shrinagar, which is a pretty pretty plum shade.
I used my Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette, which has totally been neglected and I remember how much I loved it. I paired it with Nars Sin blush.

And here is swatches of all the lipsticks.
And I've realized that Maybelline Touch of Spice is a good dupe for Mac Twig, if you like the shade but don't want to fork over the money for Mac!

What are your favorite Fall lipsticks? Don't forget to checkout Shireen's post as well to see what lipsticks and makeup looks she is sharing!

Extra bits-
-I know I didn't upload Monday or Tuesday like I usually do, I had a mirgrains Sunday and Monday night so I didn't want to prepare any posts. I'll be blogging the rest of the week to makeup for it!

Red Lips for Fall | Maybelline Divine Wine + Rum Riche

Hi!
I've kind of been obsessed with red lips lately this season! I've been wanting a darker red shade for a few weeks and Maybelline Divine Wine was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted this last year but red lips were still out of my comfort zone. I recently saw Elle talk about this in one of her blog posts and I new I wanted to pick it up this year since I've grown more comfortable with bold lips

Maybelline Lipsticks are my favorite from the drugstore. While I was picking up Divine Wine, another red shade called Rum Riche caught my eye. And somehow I ended up coming home with two new red lipsticks. Opps.

Divine Wine is from the creamy mattes line, and I believe Rum Riche is just from the original color sensation line but I'm not 100% sure.

Rum Riche
The swatch looks a little bit berry toned but on the lips it looks like a subtle red that has a tiny bit of a brown undertone to it. It may look more berry in the picture from taking it with a flash on. This is a more sheer formula than divine wine. It's pretty on its one and the color is buildable, but I can't wait to try it out with a darker lip liner underneath. It's also a nice color to wear if your not 100% comfortable with a bolder red shade.

Divine Wine
Divine wine is a gorgoues dark red color. This is darker than the Cruella shade by Nars that I have. The formula to these creamy matte shades are really opaque and are not drying on the lips like other mattes are.

Here's the two side by side to get a better picture of them than the ones above.

I'm really enjoying these two shades! And like I said before, Maybelline lipsticks are my favorite from the drugstore (and 2nd favorite to Mac ones!). If you haven't tried them before I really recommend them!

Favorite Fall Lipsticks

Hello! Dark lips are are big trend during Fall time. I'm no exception to loving them. I'm sharing a few of my favorite lip combos for this season today, and most of them are a darker brown/nude but I did throw in a red and two dark purples!

Here's four lip liners I chose to pair with all the lipsticks. They are all pretty similar in color but form left to right we have Mac Morning Coffee, Mac Absolutly It, Rimmel Mauve Shimmer, and Urban Decay Naked.

The first lipstick is Mac Hug Me which is a beautiful nude color. It's more on the sheer side, but over a darker lip liner creates a perfect dark brown/nude for Fall. I have it over UD Naked in top and Mac Morning Coffee on bottom. Hug me and Morning Coffee has been my favorite combo lately.

Here is Nars Shrinagar. This was the first purple/berry toned lip stick I owned. It pretty on its own (top swatch) but the second swatch is paired with Rimmel Shimmer Mauve, and the second with Mac Absolutely It.

The next two are Mac Twig and Maybelline Touch of Spice. Touch of Spice is a great dupe for Twig and they are almost identical. The top swatch is Twig and the second is ToS. Both are paired with Mac Absolutely It.

This one is another pretty berry toned color and it's Tarte Plumy Rose. Another sheer formula but looks awesome over top of Rimmel Shimmer Mauve.

If you want a nice lip red for Fall, then Nars Velvet Matte lip crayon is Cruella is perfect. This doesn't need a lip liner, but if I wear one with it then I just use some basic nude shade.

This last one is a Maybelline Color Elixir in the shade Caviar Couture. This is the darkest that I own, and the formula for these is very glossy. I found this was kind of messy to apply and took some buildup. I haven't tried it over a lip liner yet, but it would be pretty over Mac Absolutely it.

So these are my lip lipstick choices for Fall this year. I would like to add in some more darker shades like purples and reds so I will update you all if I add some into my collection!

* I have a ton of YouTube videos filmed so this week I'll be posting one or two of them. Probably a Fall makeup look, and either my eyeshadow palette collection or an I Love Fall Tag. Which one would you rather see first??*

What are your favorite lipsticks for Fall? Let me know in the comments so I can check them out!
