Skin Care Sunday | Simple Soothing Facial Toner

Hello! Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends out there!!

Today for my skin care Sunday post I'm going to review the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. I haven't tried anything from the Simple line other than makeup wipes but I hear a lot of bloggers and YouTubers talk about this brand.

From simpleskincare.com
"Our Soothing Facial Toner leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed, plus it's a perfect blend of our purest possible skin loving ingredients with an added vitamin."

My Thoughts
I'm going to try to make this short and sweet. This is a very simple toner, just like the name brand says. But I don't feel like it does much for my skin. I basically just feel like I'm rubbing water on my face. It does removed excess makeup well, and it doesn't irritate my skin. But I don't find anything soothing or refreshing about it. It was fairly cheaper, around $5-7 so if your looking for a affordable toner that's very basic and alcohol free, then give this a go. I won't repurchase this, but I will use it up. I prefer the Olay oil minimizing toner, or witch hazel to this one!

What is your favorite toner? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I'm glad you wrote this review Ashley because I've been curious about it since I haven't tried this brand. At least it's not irritating! That's good because I know I can't personally can't stand products that irritate my face! Great review!

  2. Thank you so much for this review, I too have read some great reviews on this and have been wondering about it. Love your honest about it too, for some reason I love negative reviews more than singing praises ones. It's more honest imo. I'm currently using/testing a toner from L'oreal, I love it but the sad part is, it's for 'mature skin'. When did I get so old?! LOL!

    1. Thank you Shireen, I'm glad you liked the review! And I agree- I think negative reviews are more helpful! I like to let my friends know if I think something is crap so they don't waste their money haha! And you take great care of your skin so I wouldn't think of it as mature haha!

  4. I've heard a lot of negative reviews about Simple since blogging. So this is not shocking. Thanks for the review Ashley. I'm currently testing a skincare line called Pai (organic). They have this spritzer toner that is working well for me.
