Mac Blankety

Hello! I hope everyone is having a good week!! We're currently getting a snow storm right now. Not fun!

Anyways- today I'm going to share a recent Mac lipstick purchase that I made. I was going to wait until I had one more empty for the back to Mac program but I guess I just couldn't help myself. I picked up Blankety, which I have wanted for a long time. It's no secret how much I love Mac lipsticks, and alsohow much of a sucker I am for a good nude shade. 

Sorry for the shadows! It was super dark in my room this morning and it seemed like every angle I held the camera the shadows wouldn't disappear!

Blankety is a pink/nude shade and it's one of the amplified formula. This is my first amplified lipstick from Mac. It's super creamy and applies really nice. 

 This photo is from my morning routine post so sorry for the repeat! The lipstick looks super natural and it's a great shade of light pink. It's the perfect neutral because it's not brown and it's not too pink. It's similar to a few that I have already but they aren't as neutral as this. Creme cup is definitely more pink toned, and viva glam 2 and faux have more brown in them. 

I'm definitely happy with this lipstick. It's such a great color and I've been wearing it non stop since I bought it. I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorite lipsticks that I own and a staple in my collection. When I bought this I also tried on Flesh Pot which is definitely going to be the one I pick up next!

Mac Whirl Lipstick

Hello!! I've been wanting to pick up the Mac Whirl Lipstick for a while now. I tried to stop myself since I have so many lipsticks already- not to mention ones that are probably similar, but the makeup addict in me caved after going to a Mac counter and swatching it three different times.

I know Mac Whirl lip liner is a cult favorite, and I think this lipstick might be a newer addition, but I'm not 100% sure. 

Whirl is a Matte formula, which I find to be drying on my lips especially since I like to wear lipliners under my lipsticks. It's very opaque so it can be worn easily on its own, but I'm just so use to wearing a liner underneath now that it's hard to skip it. It's not my favorite formula from Mac, but it's a beautiful shade so I can deal with it. I also found that this isn't *too* similar to any others that I own because it's a bit darker than most of my nude lipsticks. 

Overall I really like this lipstick, but since it is drying on my lips it's not one is wear everyday. I would really love to own Mac whirl lip liner as well someday, and think I might prefer that to the lipstick!

Mac Lipstick Collection Video

Hello hello!! I've been wanting to do a Mac lipstick collection for a while because they are my favorite and I really enjoy seeing others collection or top favorites on them! That way it gives me ideas of new ones to buy! Most of these a nude shades, and my lighting was kind of wonky when I filmed so a lot of these look a lot prettier in person if you can't see them well >.<. 

I have 9 lipsticks to share, and I do try them all on in the video!

Mac Lipstick Dupes

You all know I love my Mac lipsticks. They are my favorite and probably always will be. But I found some dupes for a few that I own. All these drugstore ones I had in my collection already (why do I need two of the same color lipsticks??) so I thought I would share them incase anyone wants to try a cheaper alternative! 

I will say though that I do perfer the Mac ones to the dupes, but these drugstore ones a great too otherwise I wouldn't bother showing them!

First up is Mac Creme Cup (left) and Rimmel Airey Fairy (right). The swatches look almost identical, and I think I actually owned the Rimmel one first. I bought it because of the name LOL!

Next is Mac Hug Me (left) and Maybelline Daringly Nude (right). Hug Me is a little more sheer and glossy, but it's buildable and it's a color that looks great over top of any lip liner. This is my most worn lipstick I own. Daringly Nude is from the Maybelline Matte Lipstick Collection. 

Last is Mac Twig (left) and Maybelline Touch Of Spice (right). Touch of Spice is a tiny bit darker, but I always wear twig with a lip liner so it makes it slightly darker too. Touch of Spice is also from the Maybelline Matte collection!

So these are the 3 dupes I found, and if I find anymore I will definitely share them too! 

I'm currently home sick in bed with a cold (AGAIN), so I didn't feel like doing any makeup looks today like I had planned! Also I've still been feeling like I've been slacking wth blog posts, and I'm sorry for that! I haven't been shopping for new makeup recently so I have nothing new to share or review. So I've been trying hard to think of some good posts for you guys with what I have. Does anyone else get bored with their makeup like I am right now lol?! Maybe that's why I'm having a hard time haha. Ok rant is over!
