Eye Makeup for Red Lips | FOTD

Hello! I'm pretty new to the world of wearing red lips (i just made that up. I don't know). A few days ago I really wanted to wear red lips but I was kind of stumped on what kind of eye makeup to wear. The last time I wore them I just did a wined liner and no shadow, but I knew I wanted some shadow this time. I did a warm neutral eye look that was a tiny bit smokey so I thought I would share in case someone else is stumped like I was!

For my face 

Benefit Porefessional, Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Doll 10 Cheek to Chic Paulette for my bronzer, blush, and highlight. 

Lips 

I used Nars Velvet Matte Lip Crayon in Curella and Cailyn Tintef Lipgloss in Love Affair on top for some shine. 

For my eyes 

I used the Tarte Tartlette Palette. I used free spirit all over the lid, dreamer in the crease, multi tasker slightly in the outter corner and lower lash line and fashionista along the upper lash line. Fashionista is the black color in the palette, I used it as eyeliner and then smoked It out with a brush. I applied Loreal gel liner on top of that and did a winged liner. I used Loreal liner intense liquid liner on top to make it a little darker, and Loreal silkissime pencil liner in my water line. I used Covergirl Super Sizer for my mascara.

Holiday FOTD | Classic Red Lips

I'm on a roll with all these Holiday makeup looks and FOTDs! Wooo!

So if you read my last post on the Zoya Mystery bag, then you know I recieved a red lipstick from them. I was excited because red lips are way out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to play around with this lipstick for Christmas! To pair with the red lips, I went for a gold/bronze smokey eye. 

Face products 

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation, Mac Pro Longwear concealer, Rimmel stay Matte powder, Nars Laguna bronzer, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, Benefit Rockateur blush, Zoya red matte velvet lipstick, j cats lips paint over top of the red. 

Eye Makeup

I used the Maybelline Nudes Palette, and the Cailyn Eye paint I got in my Ipsy bag for my shadow. Loreal Lineur intense and Loreal Silkissime pencil liner. Tarte Lights Camera Lashes for my mascara.

FOTD: Classic Red Lip + Neutral Eyes

I've always admired anyone who can pull off a red lip really well. I never thought I could (and am still not sure I can LOL) but after I colored my hair back to brunette, I'm finding myself wearing more colors and being more daring than when I was a blonde. Werid, I know. 

Anyways I was trying out a red lip and paired it with a neutral eye looks so I thought I would share it here on my blog!

FOTD- Red Lips and Neutral Eyes 

For the Face 

Primer- Benefit Porefessional 

Foundation- Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation 

Concealer- Mac Pro Longwear 

Powder- Rimmel Stat Matte 

Bronzer- Benefit Hoola

Blush- Tarte Amazonian Clay in Exposded 

Highlighter- Mac Soft and Gentle 

For the Lips 

I got both of these lips prodcuts in Ipsy bags. I always get a lot of red lip products from them and I usually just throw them in a box and never use them. I pulled these two out to try them with some incouragment from a friend. The lip crayon is from J Cats and the gloss is from Bombshell. 

For the Eyes 

This is my everyday eye look using the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. About 90% of the time, this is the eye look that I wear. It's fast, easy, and takes no time to do. 

Primer- Mac Painterly Paint Pot

Lid Color- w.o.s 

Crease Color- faint and blended out with naked 2

Lower Lash Line- faint 

Brow Bone- Venus

Eyeliner- L'Oreal lineur intense liquid liner and L'Oreal extra intense liquid eye pencil in water line

Mascara- Maybelline Falsies 

This is all for my FOTD post! The red lip was definitely out of my comfort zone, but the more I wore it, the more I was stating to like it! I think it looks really bright against my pale skin, which is kind of scary haha!!
