Hello everyone! I can't believe this year is almost over. It flew by so fast but I'm excited for the new year to start! I tried out so many different makeup products this year and it is all different stuff than I used last year (and even 6 months ago!). I'm going to do this post by categories so I can cover all of my favorites for different types of products.
I really just started using a face primer a few months ago so I'm going to have to say the sephora primer because that's the only one I've used long enough to mention. It's pretty affordable for a primer at sephora and it worked well and felt nice on my skin.
For eye primer definetly my Mac paint pot in bare study. I use this every single day and rarely used any other primer with it unless I'm doing a super dramatic look with lots of shadows.
The Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo foundation and the Covergirl 3 in one out last stay fabulous. I've tried a lot of foundations this year and I have a lot of favorites, but these two were my most used. I've used about half or a little more of the Kat Von D one, and I finished a whole bottle of the Covergirl and I'm now on my second one.
The Rimmel Stay Matte powder. This is a newer favorite of mine but it replaced all of my other setting powders. This is under $5 and you get a good amount of prodcut in there.
My most used and favorites were the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil. The Hoola is a bit darker and deeper in color, and the chocolate Soleil is lighter and a warmer shade. This one works well with my skin tone because I'm super pale.
I have so many blushes that I love but I usually go for a neutral color. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed will always be a favorite of mine. I hit pan on it a while ago so I'm trying to savor the rest of it lol! The Benefit Rockateur Blush is one I've used a lot since I bought it as well.
The Balm Mary Lou Manizer is such a gorgeous highlighter. I got this off Hautelook for pretty cheap and I'm so happy I bought it. The Stila duo in Kitten is another one of my favorite highlighter purchases this year.
Urban Decay Naked Basics and the Lorac Pro Palette were my favorite palettes. I used the Naked Basics almost every single day. The Mac shadow in All that Glitters is another favorite of mine. It's one that I use on a regular basis for a lid color. The L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadows are some other singles that I have been enjoying because they are so beautiful.
The Maybelline Falsies Mascara and the L'Oreal Telescopic have both been my most used.
L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner and L'Oreal extra intense liquid eye pencil. The eye pencil is a great dupe for the Urban Decay 24/7 liner in perversion, which is another one of my favorites.
Mac Hug me is the lipstick I wear on a daily basis. It's the perfect everyday nude lipstick.
The beauty blender is definitely my favorite makeup applicator. I didn't feel like showing brushes because they are all dirty at the moment lol! But my beauty blender wins over every brush I've purchased this year for sure!
I did not include a concealer in this post because I currently dislike all of my concealers and I'm trying to find one that I like lol!
I hope I'm not forgetting anything/category for this post! It was hard to limit my favorites to only one or two items because I love so many things!
What are your favorite makeup items for 2013? Let me know in thr comments!!
