Nyx Micro Brow vs. Anastasia Brow Wiz

I think the phrase 'dupe alert!' is appropriate for this post!

You all know that the Anastasia Brow Wiz is my holy grail brow pencil. I've used it for years and it's amazing. 

BUT so is the new Nyx Micro Brow pencil. And it's half the freaking price. 


-They both have a very fine tip that makes it easy to pencil in your brows in a natural way. 
-They both have a spooly 
-The two colors I have are identical in color. The anastasia one is on top, and Nyx on the bottom.  

Anastasia Brow Wiz
•Pros
-Goes on very smooth
-Looks natural 
-The spooly is the best I've ever used 
•Cons
-$21 at Sephora/Ulta. A bit pricey for a pencil I have to buy every 1-2 months. 

Nyx Micro Brow
•Pros
-only $10 at Ulta. Nyx is usually buy one get one 50% off, plus you can use the $3 off coupon on $10 or more on Nyx. So you can get 2 pencils for like $17. 
-This also looks really natural 
•Cons 
-The Anastasia one goes on a bit more smooth than this, but I don't think it's a reason to overlook the Nyx one. 
-I do prefer the Anastasia spooly, but again, not a reason to overlook. 

Final thoughts 
I love both pencils! But given that the Nyx is way cheaper and works just as great, I'm not going to be saving myself some money and going for the cheaper one!

    These brow pencils look identical! I really like NYX products. Since makeup can be costly, it's always a great thing when you find a good dupe! Great review!

    Great post Ashley!! I just bought the NYX one and love it and I loved my Anastasia one but I found hers kept breaking on me and for the price I was sad. This one is totally identical!

      I'm so glad you love the Nyx one Margo!! That's sad the Anastasia on kept breaking! I never had that happen but it use to happen with Mac one I would buy so I understand!

    So happy for you that you've found an inexpensive dupe for your favorite brow pencil! If I were you I'd probably keep the ABH one and use it just for the spoolie :P

    This is AWESOME! I've been really wanting the Anastasia brow wiz, but just couldn't get the nerve to throw down $21 for it! Which NYX color matches the Dark Brown (brunette) Anastasia pencil??

      The Nyx one is just as great as the anastasia one! Definitely try it out! I use the color medium brown in anastasia and ash brown for Nyx!

      NYX micro brow in Espresso is pretty similar to ABH's Dark Brown - it's just slightly warmer
