Skin Care Sunday | Michael Todd Pumpkin Face Mask

Hello! Happy Sunday!
For today's Skin Care Sunday Post I'm going to be reviewing the Michael Todd Pumpkin Nutrient Rich Facial Mask. I've been meaning to do this review for a while, but I thought Fall was a good time since this mask is a pumpkin one!

So a while ago I bought a skin care set from Michael Todd for combo oily skin and this mask was included in it. This set was pretty disappointed and nowhere near as good as the set I bought for acne prone skin before this one. Spoiler alert- this mask was a no go.

About this mask from Michael Todd's website
'Formulated with vitamin rich pumpkin and a blend of gentle exfoliants, PUMPKIN MASK dissolves dead dulling skin cells as it infuses fresh new skin with protective antioxidants and strengthening vitamins. PUMPKIN MASK is a weekly facial rejuvenating treatment that will leave skin glowing.

Who Should Use it?

All skin types except sensitive. Not to be used in combination with retinol based products on compromised or on sunburned skin'

*Now let's first talk about that little tidbit at the end that it shouldn't be used with sensitive skin that I some how looked over when I bought this. My skin is indeed very sensitive.* I would list all the ingredients for this (all organic!) and what their benefits are but meh- I'm not recommending this mask to anyone so if you are curious then you can find them on their website.

My Thoughts-
-I don't exactly know what I was expecting this mask to be like, but you can see from the picture that it looks sort of like pumpkin purée. I guess I thought this was going to be more like a clay mask that was pumpkin scented? I don't know. I can see my friend Pilar cringing at the thought of this mask since she's not a fan of pumpkin LOL!
-This felt super goopy and just plain gross when I applied it to my skin. It doesn't smell pleasant- nothing at all like a yummy pumpkin spice.
-And this mask BURNED this heck out of my face. Which I'm guessing is why they say not to use it on sensitive skin.
-Once it's applied to sets for a minute, the burning is not quite so bad, and it doesn't feel as gross. So I guess if you can stick it out for a minute or so then it's not so bad. But still,  I don't like it.
-Other than the two bad things I mentioned, I don't have any other complaints. It didn't make my skin break out, but I did only use it a few times so I can't be too sure that it wouldn't in the future.

Over all this is definitely not one that I will be finishing up or repurchasing.

I was kind of disappointed because I love the Michael Todd Kaolin Clay mask, but o guess you can't love everything from a skin care line!

Skin Care Sunday | Michael Todd Skin Care Haul

Hello!!! It's been a few weeks since I did a skin care Sunday post! Today I have a Michael Todd skin care haul to share. You might remember I mentioned some of their products in my skin care routine post, but I've finished up most of those and decided to try out a different set this time!!

The last set I bought was for acne prone skin and was mostly things with charcoal in it. I really loved it but wanted to try out something different this time to see what I liked best and what worked best for my skin. The acne prone set contined a charcoal cleanser, a charcoal scrub, a clay mask, a toner, and a serum.

This new set is for normal to combination oily skin and contains a cleanser, scrub, mask, serum, mosirurizer and an eye cream. The cleanser is a two in one toner so that why this set didn't include a toner by its self which is a bummer, but I was really interested in trying the eye cream and moisturizer since the last set didn't have those.

Here is the Pumpkin face mask and the Tropical Fruit Scrub

These are the Citrus Cream Moisturizer and the Antiox Serum

And the Cleanse and Tone one step cleanser/toner and the Intensive Eyecream.

They also always include samples or delux sizes in your order for free and this one is the Jojoba Charcoal scrub. This came in the acne prone set and I really love this stuff so I was excited to get a delux size of it!

I've tried all these out but the face mask a few times but I'm going to do a more in depth video review on this once I try them more comparing the two sets that I've tried! I've been super impressed with Michael Todd skin care and I love that everything is all organic!

I hope you enjoyed this skin care haul and happy Sunday!

Skin Care Sunday | Current Skin Care Routine

Hello!!! I'm super excited because I'm going to start a new series of blog posts! On Sunday's I'm going to start doing posts all about skin care stuff. I'm calling these 'Skin Care Sundays', and I know I've seen other bloggers do this or something similar before but it's been something I've wanted to start for a while.

I don't know if I will do this every single sunday, but I will do them quite often!

Skin care is something that is super important to me. I take the best care of my skin that I possibly can. I am not a skin care specialist, but I am a licensed cosmetologist and I do feel like I am some what well educated in skin care. I take a lot of time to research and educate myself because it's something that I've always been interested in!

Anyways- long intro out of the way. I'm going to start by sharing my skin care routine with you guys! These are all products that I've used for years, or have been testing out recently for a few months. My skin is combo oily/normal but does get a little dry in the colder weather months.

I also want to mention that I've been switching a lot of my skin care products to more natural and organic things. I've been using a skin care set from Michael Todd since December, so a lot of those products will be shown here  (OK now the long intro is done, and props to you if you read all that hahaha).

Face Cleansers
This is the Michael Todd Charcoal Detox deep pore gel cleanser, and the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I've used the cetaphil one for years and it's super gentle on the skin. I usually use this in the Morning when I wash my face. I use the Michael Todd one at night time and sometimes in the morning.

Toners
The first one is the Michael Todd blue green algae antibacterial toner. I love this stuff and I actually just finished this off. Next to it is the Olay oil minimizing toner. I used this stuff for years, and it's a good one from the drugstore. I perfer the Michael Todd one now, or some witch hazel but this is all I have at the moment. I tone my face every morning and every night after I wash my face.

Scrubs and Serums
These are both from Michael Todd and the first one is the Jojoba Charcoal Scrub. This stuff is seriously the best face scrub I've ever used. It's super gentle and charcoal is suppose to be really great for your skin. I use this 1-2 times a week. Next to it is the antioxidant carrot multivitamin serum. This is the first facial serum I've used so I don't have much to compare it to. It came in the set I bought, and I like it but don't love it. It makes my face feel good so I use it every night but it's not something I would repurchase on its own.

Face Masks
First is the Michael Todd Kaolin Clay Detoxifying facial mask. This is my new favorite face mask. It doesn't burn your skin like some face masks do, and it always makes my face feel so clean and fresh after. Next to it is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. I've raved about this mask a lot here on my blog in the past. It's super great and had been a long time favorite of mine. I use a mask about once a week, sometimes two.

Moisturizers
I still have yet to find a more natural or organic face lotion that I like. The first one is the Olay Night Cream and I love this stuff. It's seriously amazing and I will probably always use this even though I'm looking for an organic one. Its so moisturizing and I would use it in the day time too if I could haha! Next to it is the Aveeno Positivly Radiant daily moisturizer. Ok I'm not going to lie, I really don't like this stuff. The only reason I'm using it is because it was kind of expensive and I don't want or waste it. It's not bad, I just have used better ones in the past. I've had this stuff for so long and I sware it won't freaking empty. It's driving me crazy.

Eye Creams
Ok I know there's a lot here but I freaking love eye creams. The first one is the Tarte Maracuja c-brightener eye treatment, and next to it is the Lush Enchanted Eye Cream. These are both ones I purchased myself, and the other two were in ipsy bags or from my Sephora points. The next one is the Orgins GinZing eye cream, and next to it is the Nourish Organic nourishing eye cream. I'm not going to say much about any of these because I'm going to save that for a seperate post!!!

Ok guys, I know this post was super super long! All of the Micheal Todd stuff is what I've been using the most, and I decided to splurge and get myself some nice skin care stuff. It was expenaive but totally worth it. It's a brand that I highly recommend checking out! It's done amazing things for my skin. The set I currently have is for acne prone and oily skin, but they offer so many other things for all skin types!

I was going to do a review for the whole Michael Todd set, but I got lazy. Please let me know if you want to see a full review for anything and I will be happy to do it!!

Thank you all for reading and let me know what your skin care must haves are in the comments!!
