May Lifestyle Post

Hi friends :)
Am I the only one who thought may flew by? I feel like I this every month when I do these post. Ugh for repeating myself!

This month was a pretty busy one! My husband and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and our 8th of being together. We didn't do anything too exciting for those except for dinner and hanging out!

Now onto the pictures! 

We found this super awesome used book game and music store one day. It was huge and had so many cool things. I for these 5 books for only $25!

My work moved locations at the beginning of May. Here's some photos of before we moved it, but we have double the space now!

Here's some pictures from a Kayaking trip we took with my brother and soem friends. This was my first time kayaking and it was so much fun. the river and lakes we went through was like 7 miles and I felt like I got hit by a bus afterwards LOL!

Two of my friends from work got engaged on Memorial Day so we got to go to a huge vietnamese party and eat tons of yummy food. There was music and dancing and there's tons of clips in my document your life video to watch!

The two books I read this month where Night by Elie Wiesel and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Night was a memoir about a survivor of a concentration camp and The a Four Agreements was a self motivating books about letting go of negative things etc. I enjoyed these but I thought I would like them both better than I did. 

I've been getting into yoga this past month. I've been watching Yoga with Adriene  on YouTube!

I've also been trying to test out a vegan diet. Since the doctor won't help me figure out why I'm having headaches and just wants to shove pills in my face, I'm trying to figure it out myself. My first step is to try a non dairy and meat diet because those are the two most mucus forming foods (gross, sorry!). Right now I am still eating both but cutting back so I can transition into this. Anyways- here's a picture of some of the meatless and  non dairy things I've been eating! If this diet sticks I'll be doing more posts or vidpes on it!

I also wanted to mention I made a second youtube channel that I'm going to be uploading these vidoes on and possibly vlogging on in the future! Be sure to subscribe to that channel (ashleysue vlogs)as well as my beauty channel!

  2. May flew by for me, too! It seemed like only yesterday when I was fretting about my finals. May looked like a lot of fun for you! I want to start getting into yoga too, it looks really relaxing and nothing beats a good stretch. I also want to say, I'm happy you like the Illamasqua blush! I read through your older posts a while ago but didn't have the time to comment. Will be watching this post's video later too - I have to be out the door soon!

    1. Time is going by way too fast!! And yes I sm obsessed with that blush it's so pretty! And yoga is awesome! It took me a while to get into it by once I did I loved it! And this video is on a different channel than my usual one haha!

    Yes, to Yoga with Adrienne and Ihave since completed her #30DaysofYoga challenge. I did find it to be boring towards the end of it and I needed something more challenging so I subscribed to PsycheTruth which has tons of videos with different instructors. Word of warning, some of them looks like a soft porn stars but ignore that and the workouts are sure to make you shake and sweat.

  5. Happy Anniversary Ashley! That is so wonderful, because you are awesome friends and now husband & wife. I love that. I bet you are loving the extra space at the salon! I went to a smaller salon and then it got to be so crowded (it was kind of hectic) hahaha They moved into a bigger space and it felt so much better. My neighbors kayak! Definitely sounds awesome. You have some yoga moves!!! Keep it up girl! It's MUCH harder than it looks! But is so rewarding. Will subscribe to your second channel. Love your videos. They're awesome to look back at it.

    May flew by so fast! I'm glad though, I'm officially out for summer! Yay! Having 2 and half months off of work is going to be so nice!
    Okay, I have a lot of headaches too...I think mine is a hormone imbalance. Have you asked about that? I'm not for sure on mine..that's just what my nurse instincts tell me. LOL!
