October Lifestyle Post + DYL Video

Hello! Where the heck did October go!? I'm sure you can all agree with me that not only has October gone by very fast, this this whole year in general has been flying by!

Anyways- I've mentioned countless times that I love Fall and September and October are my favorite months so I was sad to see them go. But I do also love November, I love thanksgiving, and I get super excited for the holidays and Christmas too!

I spent a lot of October sick with a reoccurring cold, and finally got some antibiotics in me so now I'm feeling better. I want to thank you all for your sweet comments and well wishes when I was sick!

And other than being sick, let's see what I was up to!

One of my cousins got married at the beginning on October, so here's pics of me and hubby, and one with my mom and sister in law.

We celebrated Halloween a weekend early, and this brought out the needy side of me and my husband. I was Pikachu and hubby was Ash. It was super fun and I actually made my husbands shirt. I couldn't find one online that wasn't surprised expensive so I bought a blue and white button up dress shirt. I cut the sleeves and collars off, and sewed/glued the white ones onto the blue. And attached the yellow fabric with glue as well. Pain in my ass LOL!

We went to a Cider Mill in Rochester on the 25th with our friends. We went here 5 years ago for our engagement pictures and haven't been back since. There's tons of trails by a river and it's super pretty. We also got to see a guy propose to his girlfriend while we were there! It was super cool because I've never seen an engagement happen before!

And here is my little pumpkin that I grew in my garden! Bahaha. It was unintentional but I was pretty excited about it.

And that is pretty much it for my month of October! I'll link my DYL video and I hope you all enjoy watching!

How was your October?? Did you do anything fun for Halloween?

September Lifestyle Post!

Does anyone else think it's crazy that it's already October?? I'm happy because it finally feels like Fall, and October is one of my favorite months. I get excited for Halloween and Pumpkins, and for Thanksgiving to be next month!

I'll be linking my Document Your Life Video at the end, which just like last month will be on the short side because not much exciting stuff happened in September.

My little niece started preschool! She's too freaking cute.

Here's some pictures from the Renissance Festival.

I got a super cool necklace when I was there. This is a real photo of the moon on me and my husbands wedding date.

I was lucky enough to be able to do a swap with my friend Natalie who is from Australia! She sent me a ton of goodies from over there and I was so happy and excited about it!

That was pretty much all the pictures I took in September that's worth sharing.

And then I was in a car accident. No one was hurt but someone hit me while they were pulling out of a parking lot and apparently didn't see me. Sad day but my cars getting fixed now. And I wanted to say a special thank you to my friend Pilar for reaching out when I posted this picture on my Facebook and making sure I was okay!

I did a tiny bit of retail therapy after that happened and bought a new Mac Lipsick and a Nyx liner to match. And I got two books, and right now I'm reading The Alchemist.

Here my DYL video if you want to watch!

How was your September?? Let me know in the comments! And my September Favorites will be posted next week!

August Lifestyle + Document Your Life

Happy September Everyone! September is my favorite month. I get so excited that Fall is coming- even though it's still 90 degrees where I live (last week it was in the 60s, what is this madness). Needless to say, I'm excited for some cooler weather, boots, sweaters, leaves, and pumpkin spice everything! Cliché, I know but I can't help it.

I feel like I didn't do much exciting things in August. I've been in a funk the past few weeks and have been feeling very blah- physically and emotionally. Lots going on inside my head at the moment! I'll try to keep this short with sharing some pictures (I didn't take very many!) and my document your life vidoe will be at the end!

My dads birthday was at the end of August. It was raining most of the day so I didn't get many pictures! The weekend before that, my parents had a fish fry party. I got to see my niece and nephew and we went out on the boat so my niece could go fishing.
Love this little cutie.

My best friends parents through a huge party every year which was last weekend. Super fun and spent a lot of time with friends. It was also bittersweet because we had to say goodbye to three of my friends from work who are moving away.

That basically all the pictures I took in August. I was slacking! But I did play a lot of world of Warcraft. Which is probably why I didn't do anything. Ha ha.

Another thing I was working on in August was cutting out meat and dairy from my diet. It went okay but I started feeling sick and my body was doing weird things so I regressed a little. It's still a goal of mine, but I've accepted that it's not a change I can make overnight. I've still been having a little meat and dairy but I'm trying to cut it out more slowly now so my body doesn't say 'wtf'.

Here's some of the meals I've been making. Hubby made stuff portobellos mushrooms with guacemole, hummus, rice and tomatoes. I've made a lot of burrito bowls and tacos using rice, corn, black beans, green chillies and topped with salsas and guacemole. Also a lot of veggies sandwiches which are delicious. I didn't realize how hard it was to find bread options with no eggs or milk in them.
Here's some more meals. Pasta with tons of grilled veggies. Veggie pizza with no cheese. Veggies and hummus to snack one. And my baked apple oatmeal that I shared the recipe for! I feel like cucumbers have become my best friend. Ok that was weird, sorry!

So that was basically my August! This month I have a concert im going to, and the renassiance festival! I'm excited for both. I hope you all enjoyed, and enjoy watching my DYL video!

July Lifestyle Post + Document Your Life Video

Hello! Happy August Everyone!
July pretty much flew by like every other month seems to do.

I honestly didn't take too may photos this month other than on the 4th of July (that seems so long ago!) and when my husband and I took a week off to go to Northern Michigan. I did however take a lot of video clips so there will be much more in my DYL video!

Fourth of July was spent at my in laws house. We went out on my boat and most of my time was spent hanging out with my husband and my brother.

Last week my husband and I went up to the upper peninsula of Michigan and saw Tahquamonen Falls and the Pictured Rocks on Lake Surperior. I haven't been to the U.P since I was very little so I was excited. Northern Michigan is very beautiful and I seem to forgot and take forgranted what a beautiful state that I live in. If you follow my Instagram, then you've probably seen a lot of these pictures already!

Here is the falls we went to. We also ate at the brewery that is there too.
Here's some photos from the pictures rocks. They were very pretty, however we did a boat tour of them and let me tell you. I felt so sea sick on the boat it was almost not enjoyable. Ugh!

Before we went to the UP, we stayed in mackinaw city and had this awesome view from our hotel room on Lake Huron.

Our hotel room in the UP had a great view of Lake Surperior.
Here's another of Lake Surperior where we left to go see the Pictured Rocks.

Coming back from from the UP, we stopped at a random beach on Lake Michigan on the side of the road. It was random and fun and hubby jumped into the water.

In Petoskey we again saw Lake Michigan, had some awesome lunch and coffee from my favorite coffee place and then headed to Charlevoix. Petoskey is one of my favorite cities in Michigan.

In Charlevoix we saw this awesome castle and gardens and then went to the beach on Lake Michigan!

I made a picture frame collage from some postcards, pictures I took, and little things and tickets ect from our vacation. I make one for every vacation we take together!

Sorry that was so picture heavy from my vacation! The rest of July was just spent relaxing and going back to work.

This month in August im going to spend sometime working on myself, and joining my friend Elle from ellesees in her #jals challenge! She is working on herself and getting healthy and so am I! Some of my goals are to get back into fitness and yoga, and eating healthy. I'm trying to stop eating meat and dairy so that will be my main focus this month.

Here is my document your life video, and I hope you all enjoyed this peek into my life!

April Lifestyle Post

Hello!!! I can't believe how fast April went by. I say that every month, but I'm glad it's May and we're finally starting to have nice weather. It's in the 70s today and the sunshine is making me happy!!

Anyways- I don't think too much exciting things happened in April. I'm also going to share somethings I'm looking forward to in May and some monthly goals of mine. I might start doing monlthy goals in these posts! Also, like always, I will post my Document Your Life video at the end. Thank you to all of you who already watched it and left me a nice comment on my video!

Here's some photos from easter of my niece and my sister in law. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, but I did take a lot of videos which you will see in my DYL.

First bonfire of the year at my BFF Hannah's house. Was lots of fun, still was super chilly at night time!
Again I didn't take much pictures but here's me and hubby.

We also grilled out for the first time this year. We made tons of food that included shrimp, chicken and steak kabobs, corn, mushrooms and fish. We have a sunday tradition where we go to my brothers house and cook/grill dinner and wath game of thrones. We always end up with way too much food for 3 people but at least left overs are good!

It was hubby's Birthday on the 27th!
It was also one of my brothers birthday the same day, and one on the 30th.

Hubby played in a hockey tournament on the weekend of the 25th, so I got to miss work to go see all his games!

Extra stuff
- I sadly and embarrassingly did not read any books in April. It's mostly duo to laziness but I'm still mad ha ha.
-I've been watching 90210 on Netflix. It's the newer version and I think a remake of the old one. It's pretty good and it has 5 seasons so it will keep my busy for a while!
-I had an allergic reaction last week to some Aleve I took. the Naproxen didn't like me and now I can't take ibprophen either because they are too similar. I swelled up and have hives and was on a prescription and benedrly for 8 days. Not fun! I also started using the boots Botanics skincare stuff around that time too, and was afraid that might have caused the reaction instead of the Naproxen so I won't be doing a review on it and I'm going to return it to target.
-I've been having lots of bad headaches and migraines lately. I had to leave work yesterday because it was so bad. I'm going to make a doctors appointment next week for it.

Monthly Goals for May
-I really need to get back into fitness and eating healthy. I've been eating like crap and it's been a good month since I've worked out. Time to start again!
-I need to focus on eating a better breakfast. I'm always in a rush in the morning and I don't eat enough and my body is starting to notice. I'm always starving by 11 and that's only an hour after I get to work. Most days I'm too busy to eat a snack and I don't eat lunch until 1-2. I'm not a huge breakfast food person and I'm super picky so I'm having a hard time coming up with what to eat. I usually have a greek yogurt, a banana, a string cheese and either my Itworks greens on the go in my water. I need more! Someone give me some suggestions!

I'm also really excited because our anniversary is on the 11th! I can't believe it's been two years since we got married. Time goes by way too fast.

That is about it for my month in April, so I will post my video and talk to you guys soon!

March Lifestyle Post!

Hello hello!!
Today I'm going to share what I was up to in March. I will link my 'Document your Life' video at the end of this post, just like I did for the past two month.

So tell me, do you guys enjoy these life/personal posts that I have been doing? Let me know in the comments!!

Hubby bought a new car so that is super fun and exciting. It's a 2002 Corvette that's in perfect condition. It's like brand new!

We had a St. Pattys day party on the 14th. I didn't take many pictures sadly, so here's one of me and hubz.

It was my best friends birthday this month so to celebrate we spent the day in Ann Arbor and got some Pho and bubble tea.

Since I was sick, I spent a lot of time in bed with my cats. And taking pictures of them LOL.

I got to see my niece and nephew a few times which is always great.

Sunday was my moms birthday!

Me and hubby went to see Insurgent finally!

And last picture is of when me and hubby went to The Rough Draft, which is a local coffee and barroom in our town. We went there for lunch and they have the best lattes ever. They put them in these beer glasses so I thought they looked cool lol!

Extras
-I also finally got around to watching Mockingjay Part 1. I have mixed feelings about it.

-I ended up reading 4 books this month. I finished up the last book in The Tea Rose series, The Wild Rose, which is the book series I've been talking about for the past few months. I also read The 5 Love Languages. Have any of you read this?? You guys, this book is incredible. Next I read The Summer I Turned Pretty, which was okay. And lastly I read Silver Linings Playbook. Which was also just okay. I want to watch the movie but I didn't care for the book much. Last night I started reading Fall of Giants by Ken Follett.

- I finished up Gossip Girl on Netflix and I'm sad it's over. Now I'm watching Switched at Birth and it's super good! I'm also catching up on the new Vampire Diaries that's currently playing on tv. And we're addicted to American Idol!

-Me and hubby are currently playing Final Fantasy 9. He played it years ago but wanted to replay it with me. It's got a pretty good story line too! I'm also getting back into playing WoW. I bet you guys didn't know I'm a video game nerd ha ha ha!

That's all I think I have to talk about! This post was super long so I'm going to end it and link my video! Thank you all for reading!
