July Lifestyle Post + Document Your Life Video

Hello! Happy August Everyone!
July pretty much flew by like every other month seems to do.

I honestly didn't take too may photos this month other than on the 4th of July (that seems so long ago!) and when my husband and I took a week off to go to Northern Michigan. I did however take a lot of video clips so there will be much more in my DYL video!

Fourth of July was spent at my in laws house. We went out on my boat and most of my time was spent hanging out with my husband and my brother.

Last week my husband and I went up to the upper peninsula of Michigan and saw Tahquamonen Falls and the Pictured Rocks on Lake Surperior. I haven't been to the U.P since I was very little so I was excited. Northern Michigan is very beautiful and I seem to forgot and take forgranted what a beautiful state that I live in. If you follow my Instagram, then you've probably seen a lot of these pictures already!

Here is the falls we went to. We also ate at the brewery that is there too.
Here's some photos from the pictures rocks. They were very pretty, however we did a boat tour of them and let me tell you. I felt so sea sick on the boat it was almost not enjoyable. Ugh!

Before we went to the UP, we stayed in mackinaw city and had this awesome view from our hotel room on Lake Huron.

Our hotel room in the UP had a great view of Lake Surperior.
Here's another of Lake Surperior where we left to go see the Pictured Rocks.

Coming back from from the UP, we stopped at a random beach on Lake Michigan on the side of the road. It was random and fun and hubby jumped into the water.

In Petoskey we again saw Lake Michigan, had some awesome lunch and coffee from my favorite coffee place and then headed to Charlevoix. Petoskey is one of my favorite cities in Michigan.

In Charlevoix we saw this awesome castle and gardens and then went to the beach on Lake Michigan!

I made a picture frame collage from some postcards, pictures I took, and little things and tickets ect from our vacation. I make one for every vacation we take together!

Sorry that was so picture heavy from my vacation! The rest of July was just spent relaxing and going back to work.

This month in August im going to spend sometime working on myself, and joining my friend Elle from ellesees in her #jals challenge! She is working on herself and getting healthy and so am I! Some of my goals are to get back into fitness and yoga, and eating healthy. I'm trying to stop eating meat and dairy so that will be my main focus this month.

Here is my document your life video, and I hope you all enjoyed this peek into my life!

February Life Post + Video

Hello! Happy March 1st!! Today I'm going to blog about my life in February! I also have another Document Your Life Video to share, which I will post at the end of this video!

Lets start off with me being sick for the past week. I got stuck with a cold and horrible headaches. Which is why I have not blogged much this week. I've been feeling blah and haven't even wanted to put on makeup or do anything fancy with myself. Thank you all for your get well wishes on my last post, it really made me feel better! This has also set back my workouts and fitness routine which sucks so hopefully this week I can get back into it since I'm feeling mostly better now. I have some healthy food and fitness posts ideas that I will do soon, as well as some exciting beauty posts!

At the beginning of the month my niece and nephew had their birthday party so I will share some pictures from that.
She turned 4 on valentines day and is my favorite little person in this world!
My nephew turned 1 on the 12th, so it was exciting having his first birthday!

Heres the 'fancy' dinner I made on Valentines day for my husband.
On the 16th we went to a Detroit Red Wings Game, which was his presents from me on Valentines Day. I was so excited when I booked the tickets a week ahead of time that I had to tell him because I'm so bad at keeping secrets about presents haha!
For Valentines Day my husband finished one of our extra bedrooms into a beauty room/office for me. I wasn't aloud to see if until it was done and I was super excited about it! He picked out all of the furniture, paint colors, etc. Now I have a place to do hair, makeup, and film youtube videos (maybe).
Last weekend we got to celebrate the Chinese/Lunar New Years which was so fun because we have never experienced it before. Everyone I work with is from Vietnam and they were kind enough to invite me and my husband over to celebrate. We got to eat a ton of delicious traditional Vietnamese food, and yay lucky money!
And here is my cats cuddling because its a rare sight so I had to take a pictures.

Extra bits-
-I've been addicted to watching Gossip Girl on Netflix. I'm almost done with sea on 5. My husband and I have been watching season 3 of American Horror Story on Netflix and its soooo good! Do any of your watch this??
-We've also been obsessed with American Idol. I think there are a lot of great singers this year!
-I finished reading The Winter Rose, and now I'm reading The Wild Rose which is the third and last book in the series. I also read The Duff, and I kind of want to see the movie.
-Speaking of books, all I've wanted to read lately is historical fiction ever since I've started The Tea Rose series. I also have The Other Boleyn Girl, Outlanders, and Fall of the Giants in my to read pile. Someone tell me some other good ones to read!

So there is my DYL video for February! Enjoy!

Did you guys have a good February? Let me know if you did anything fun in the comments!

January Lifestyle Post + Document your Life Video!

Hi friends :)
Almost a year ago I was doing weekly posts that had updates with my life and photos of what I was doing, and I stopped doing them because I became bored and let's face it- my life isn't super exciting. So I thought I would do monlthy ones instead and have been meaning I do them for a while. I thought this would be a good time to start since it's the beginning of the year!

So basically I'm going to share some fun things I did during the month, share some personal favorite things, and just talk to you guys! I love reading personal posts from my friends that I follow so I can get to know them better so now I'm doing the same.

Also I'm excited to announce that I'm going to participate in Document Your Life this year on YouTube! These posts will kind of go along with the videos, and I'm super excited to partake in this. Also please note that I am not very good at editing vidoes and this is the first one I've ever done ha ha. Hopefully next month my editing will be a little bit better now that I've learned how to use my camera more (and that I need to hold my cell phone sideways so my videos will be full screen >.<). I will link the video at the end of the post if any of you will want to watch it.

Anyways- lets get into what I was up to this month!

It's currently snowing like crazy outside! Also- happy super bowl Sunday to any of you who watch it (I do not ha ha ha).

We've been working on a home gym in our basement and now we have all of our equipment.
Hubby and I have spent a lot of time on fitness and eating healthy this month. I'm super excited about it and can't wait to see all of my progress and share it through the health and fitness posts that I have planned for my blog!

I've been working on reading this massive book all month. It's about 700 pages and I'm half way through. It's the sequel to the Tea Rose, which I read in December (also massive) and it became my favorite book I've read, so everyone who loves to read should go check it out! This second book is really good too, and there's a third that I'm going to read next.

We went to the Frankenmuth Snowfest last weekend with friends. It was super fun but really cold out! You'll see some video clips from it if you want my video at the end!
We are at the Brewery while we were there. So yummy!

I think that's about all the excitement I had in January. Not too much was going on so hopefully February will be more exciting!

Enjoy my video if you want to watch it! Thank you all for reading!
What was the highlight of your month?
