Disney Ariel Collection by Elf- Review, Swatches, and more!

When I heard that Walgreens had a new Disney Ariel Collection I knew I had to have it. Basically, anything Disney or Ariel and I am in love! 

This collection is limited edition, just like the previous Disney Villains collection that Elf released a while ago. This is also exclusively from Walgreens, but it's also on their website and I have heard drugstore.com has it too. 

This collection has a palette, a bronzer set, an eye shadow set, brush set, false lashes set, and a lipstick/gloss set each sold seperatly. The Walgreens by my house had a ton of all the sets so I was really excited! I got everything except for the lip set and the lashes. 

I'm going to share each set I got, include swatches, and a brief summary of my thoughts for each set. I will warn you that there is a lot to share so this post with be lengthy! 

Treasures Within Beauty Book- $10 

Absolutely love the art on this. It's similar (or the same?) to the Disney Ariel art that I have seen in Hot Topic lately. 

This comes with 9 eyeahdaows, two Bronzers, a lipgloss, and two brushes. One is an eyeshadow brush and the other a little bronzer brush.

My Thoughts-

First I'm going to say the packaging to this is gorgeous! I'm obsessed. I am pretty impressed by the Bronzers, they are super pigmented especially the darker one. I like them better than the bronzer that comes in the blush/bronzer duo by Elf. The eyeshadows were pretty pigmented and creamy, and I love how the shadow brush is gold! 

Under The Sea Eye Collection- $5

This set comes with two eye shadow duos, and an eye liner pen.

My thoughts-

Again I love the packaging for these! Especially the one with the sea shells on it. I was more impressed by these shadows than the ones in the big palette. I think they are more pigmented and the colors are really vibrant. The eyeliner pen was okay, but I'm not a fan of eye pens usually. 

Ariel Bronzer and Kabuki brush set- $5

The first swatch is of the two colors mixed together, and the second is just of the darker portion. 

My Thoughts-

I wouldn't use this bronzer for contouring, but I definitely think it makes for a gorgeous golden highlight! I love how the art on the packaging matches the larger palette! 

Crystal Brush Set- $10

My Thoughts-

I'm honestly probably never going to use these, but they were so pretty I had I get them lol!!! I love the turquoise and jeweled handles! 

The look I created with the Treasures Within Palette 

I used the lighter bronzer called Tan Lines in my crease and blended it out. I used the color called Siren Song all over my lid. I used the green color called Seaweed in my inner corner and first half of my lower lash line.

Overall thoughts-

I am definitely happy that I picked up this collection! If you are a Disney or little mermaid lover, then I would really recommend this to you! Elf is super affordable and I only spent $30 for these 4 sets!

Disney Ariel Storybook Palette Review

Hello everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing the Sephora Disney Collection Ariel Storybook Palette and showing 3 eye looks that I created with it. In my last post, which was the Ariel Part of your World Palette review, I talked about how I love Disney and Ariel, and that I was so excited for this collection. I am absolutely obsessed with this storybook palette and can't get enough of it. I've been using this non stop since I purchased it, and playing with a lot of bright colors that I don't normally wear.

Top row of Shadows. From left to right- Blue Lagoon, Scuttle, Flounder, Sebastian, and Flotsam.

Second row from left to right- Sea Shells, Les Poisons, Caspian Sea, Your Voice, and Unfortunate Souls.

3rd and 4th row of shadows.

3rd row from left to right- Atlantica, Fins, Sick of Swimming, Ursula, and Sha la la.

Last row from left to right- Triton, Wanderin' free, Jetsam, Sea Witch. and Treasure Untold. 

Look #1- Mermaid Makeup 

For this look I used Atlantic all over my lid and in my inner corner/inner lower lash line. I used Les Poisons in my crease as a transition color. I used Fins on the outter half of my lid and blended it up into the crease. I used Jetsam in my outer corner area and in my lower lash line. I used Sick of swimming as my brow highlight.

Look #2- Sea Urchin

For this look I used Wanderin' Free all over my lid and inner corner. I used Ursula in my crease and blended it out. I used Sea Witch in my outer corner area and blended into my crease and lower lash line. I used Treasures Untold for my brow highlight.

Look #3-  Ocean Eyes

I used Your Voice on the inner half of my lid and inner corner. I used Blue Lagoon on my center on my lid. I used Unfortunate Souls in my crease as a transition color. I used Caspian Sea in my outer corner area and blended it into my crease. I used Sea Shells for my brow bone highlight.

My Overall Thoughts on this Palette:

Out of the three disney palettes I own, this is my favorite. The colors in this are beautiful and really pigmented. There are so many different looks that you can do with this palette, and it's really versatile since there is a lot of color varieties. I was happy that this one had better color pay off than the Part of Your World Palette! 

I am also planning on doing a post with looks from my Cinderella Storybook Palette as well!

Disney Ariel Part of Your World Eyeshadow Review

Hello!! If any of you are Disney lovers like me, then you know that Sephora has their limited edition Disney Makeup Collections. The Ariel one was released online last week, and it will be in stores in sometime next month in August (I think). I was fortunate enough to be able to snag the two eyeshadow palettes from this collection, which are the Part of Your World quad and the Ariel Storybook Palette. I have not received the Storybook palette in the mail yet, but I did get the eyeshadow quad in the mail yesterday. The Little Mermaid is my all time favorite disney movie so I was basically ecstatic when I heard Sephora was coming out with an Ariel collection. This is the third disney princess collection that they have made, I did not purchase anything from the Jasmine collection but I did pick up the Cinderella Storybook palette around Christmas time. So enough of my rambling, I am going to share my review for the Part of Your World palette and the look that I created with it. Later in the week I will do the same for the Ariel Storybook palette!

I'm so obsessed with this packaging.

Here is a close up of the eyeshadows, and of their names on the back of the box. The lightest shade on the top is called Who's-it, the taupe color next to it is called What's-it. The green is called Dinglehopper, and the purple is Snarfblat.

The purple shade has the best pigmentation out of the four shadows.

Here is the look that I created:

To prime my eyes I used the Lorac eye primer and Mac paint pot in bare study as my base. 

I used Who's-it for my brow bone highlight (lightest cream shade) and What's-it (light taupe color) all over my lid. I used the Dinglehopper (green) shade in my crease and blended it out. I also used this shade in my inner corner of my lower lash line. I used Snarfblat (purple) on my lower lash line on top of Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted purple. 

For my eyeliner I used the Bombshell liquid eye pen and Urban Decay liner in perversion in my waterline. I used Revlon Lash Potion of my mascara.

My thoughts on this palette:

Even though the colors in this palette seems really beautiful, their pigmentation isn't all that great. You can definitely build up the color, but it's somewhat annoying. The swatches that I took pictures of were probably 3-4 swipes of color to get the color to look good. The only one that is really pigmented is the purple. It is a little disappointing that the pigment isn't that great since this palette was expensive. The Cinderella Storybook palette had really great color to it's shadows so I am hoping that the Ariel Storybook one will too. 

I still really love the colors in the palette though, and I love the look that I created. Once I built up the green color, it turned out to be a really pretty shade. And like I said before, the packaging is gorgeous. There is a little quote on the mirror that says Dreams are Realities in Waiting, which I also think is amazing!!
