Smoothie are pretty much an everyday thing for me. 95% of the time, what I have for breakfast is a smoothie. They are fast and easy to make and you can pack them with super healthy goodness! But lately I've been obsessed with making Smoothie Bowls! These do take a little bit more time (especially if you like to decorate them pretty like I do, but that part is totally optional!) so they are prefect to make on weekends if during the week you don't have time! And p.s. It's kind of like sitting down and eating a bowl of fruity ice-cream!
For today's Foodie Friday post, in going to share my go to Smoothie Bowl recipe, however smoothie bowls can be made and topped with pretty much anything you like and have on hand!
What you'll need
-Frozen fruit of your choice. I used Bananas and a frozen berry mix. You can also add in some protein powder if you use it! You can also add in some greens if you like those in your smoothies. Spinach is a good one to use, you can't taste it, I promise!
-Milk of your choice, or water. I use Almond milk. If anyone here eats a lower calorie diet, almond milk has less calories than regular milk, or you can use water and it turns out the same consistency!
-Toppings of your choice. I use Kiwi, hemp seeds, chia seeds, dark chocolate, and granola.
I dont exactly measure any of these ingredients, I just add however much I think I'll need.
Directions
-Blend together your fruit and frozen fruit with a little bit of your liquid. You want the smoothie base to be a little bit thicker so it's not too watery in the bowl. If you don't have any frozen fruit, thrown some in the freezer the night before. If you mixture turns out too watery, put it back into your blender and add some more frozen fruit and blend again.
-Pour into a bowl and add your toppings.
It's that simple! Like I said before, if you don't want to, you don't need to decorate it pretty, just throw some toppings on and your good to go.
Some awesome toppings that I recommend-
-Granola! This one is a must for me. It gives nice crunch.
-Nuts and seeds. I like to use hemp and chia seeds in all my smoothies/smoothie bowls. You can use sliced almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds etc.
-Fresh fruit. I had kiwi on hand, and it gives a nice pretty color for them Instagram photos.
-Chocolate. This doesn't need explanation :)
-Coconut flakes or dried fruit.
-A scoop of peanut butter or nut butter.
I hope you all enjoyed this recipe, and I hope you try making smoothie bowls sometime!
What is your go to breakfast on the weekends?

Foodie Friday | PB&J Breakfast Smoothie
Hi Friends!
I know this week's blog posts were kind of unexciting. I did a quick Essential Oil Haul on Wednesday, and today I'm sharing a quick smoothie recipe that I've been loving. I was super busy this week, so I didn't plan much for blog. I did, however, make an amazing smoothie earlier this week that I was obsessed with. I shared photos on IG, but I thought I'd share the recipe with you guys in more detail.
This PB&J smoothie is super healthy and perfect for breakfast!
Ingredients and Directions
-Add 1-2 frozen bananas into your blender. If you don't have frozen, just use fresh.
-Chop up 5 strawberries, more if you want and less if you don't. Add into blender.
-Add a scoop of peanut butter. I use a tiny bit less than a tablespoon. Again, add more or less if you want.
-1 pitted date. You can leave this out of you don't have one, but it adds some good sweetness.
-1 tbsp of both chia seeds and hemp seeds. If you don't have these that's okay too, but I encourage you to try them- they had tons of great neutrients!
-1 cup of rice milk, or milk of your choice. After you add in the milk, fill up with water as needed.
-Optional- add in some protein powder if you like it in your smoothie! You can also add in some greens for some extra vitamins and minerals.
-Blend away and enjoy!
This is sooo good and tastes just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!

Friday Favorites | End of January
Hi! Remember me? No? I don't blame you. I don't think I've even gone this long without posting here on my blog. I think I will be doing a life update post soon explaining why I've been such a slacker lately. On a kind of positive note, I did film two videos and one of them was my beauty favorites for 2016. But on a not so positive note, after I was down filming I couldn't get my iMovie to work, and I ended up updating my computer software and then got myself into a big old computer mess. Needless to say, I was frustrated and have been ignoring the issues. I'm going to try to fix it this weekend or early next week so I can at least get the videos up that I filmed!
Back to today's post! I'm sharing some Friday Lifestyle Favorites (boring, I know!). So let's get into it.
Favorite on Netflix || I've been bing watching Shameless like crazy. I'm in season 2 right now and I'm really enjoying it. Although I did have an urge to rewatch Gossip Girl the other night, so that might have to be my next show.
Favorite Snack || I've been obsessed with eating date rolls. These are sooo good and I love the coconut sprinkles on the outside. Please excuse the stupid shadow in my picture of these, it was late and dark and when I tried to re take the picture it just didn't look as pretty being half empty.
Favorite Kitchen Item || Ok this is a kind of random and weird favorite to share, but my mother in law got me these awesome cutting boards and I'm slightly obsessed with them. The wooden part is made from bamboo and it has different plastic inserts that you pull out and can place on top of the bamboo. So it's basically a 5-in-1 cutting board and you can use the different colors or wooden part for different types of food!
Favorite Purchase || I bought a protein powder to put in my smoothies and it's the Garden of Life raw organic protein in the vanilla chai flavor. This stuff is awesome. It's all plant based and it's a very clean protein so there's no extra crap in it that a lot of protein powders have.
Favorite Quote || I absolutely love this simple yet powderful statement.
I hope you all enjoyed my Friday favorites! What lifestyle things have you been loving lately?

Fall Reading List
Hello! I was so excited yesterday was the first day of Fall! I hope you all aren't sick of all the Fall related posts I've been doing! I have more coming next week still! ;). Today I'm sharing my Fall reading list of books I'm hoping to read this season.
I haven't done anything book related in a while, so I thought this would be good for my Lifestyle Friday posts. I made a huge summer reading list a few months ago. To be frank, I didn't even read any of those books. I thought when I quit my job, I'd have lots of time to read. Sadly, I just didn't read anything except for The Cursed Child over the summer, which was a definitely must read for me because JK Rowling. Anyways- I've made this Fall reading list a lot smaller and less intimidating.
I picked out 5 books, most of them are ones I've wanted to read for a while, with the exception of one that I've already read. Some of these were in my summer reading list too.
-At the top of the stack is The Outsiders. This is one my all time favorite books ever. I've seriously read this probably 5 or 6 times since I was 13. I just had the urge to read it again so I put it on my list.
-Next is Serena by Ron Rash. I randomly picked this up a few months ago not really knowing what it was about. It sounds like a good historical fiction book, and it's been made into a movie!
-The next one down is Room by Emma Donoghue, which has been on my to read list for forever. It's also a movie, has anyone read or seen this?
-Next is Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Another one that's been on my to read list for a long time. I've been wanting to read a good fantasy lately.
-And last is Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. This is the first book in her new Dark Artifices series. I'm a huge fan of her Mortal Instruments and Inferal Divices series so I have really high hopes for this. It's huge and a bit intimidating but I've had it since it came out a few months ago.
I'm also planning on picking up the new Nicholas Sparks book, Two by Two that comes out on October 4th. I'm a huge Nicholas Sparks fan so I can't wait for that one!

Decorating for Fall
Hello! I got super into the Fall mood this week and brought out all my fall decorations and candles. I thought I would take some photos around my house of the decorations I put put and share them for a Lifestyle Friday post. I have some DIY decorations for Fall I was to make, so I'll definitely do posts on those as I do them!
Most of my decor in my house has a 'forest-y' vibe to it and I have tons of bird and owls out all year, so they go perfect with my Fall decorations.
On my coffee table I have a cute wicker pumpkin (also from the dollar section of target), with two candles. In the background I threw my plaid blanket scarf over the couch to make it look cozy.
In in dining room, the wall behind my table has these box selves on each side, with a set of birch tree canva paintings in the middle. For Fall I add in a cute ceramic pumpkin and black cat on each side of the biggest shelves. Everything else you see stays the same all year. On the bottom shelves o have two LED candles that have sticks in the wax, which is very Fall appropriate too.
In the corner of my dining room, theses too canvas are ones that my niece painted for me and my sister in law put a quote on, which was a wedding gift when we got married. And then there is a wooden vase with some sticks, etc. These are up all year too but I love how the paintings have Fall colors.
On my dining room table I just have this tray with some candles and an empty candle jar that I decorated with washie tape. I usually fill this with candy corn near Halloween time.
On my island in my kitchen I have a glass tray, which is definitely more summery, but it seriously is the perfect size to set candles on so I leave it up all year. I just have three of my B&BW fall candles from last year on it.
OK so here is my windowsill above my sink. This was super hard to get a picture of because my camera didn't want to cooperate with the brightness outside. On one side I have a candle from B&BW from a few years ago, some cute Halloween salt and pepper shakers, and a cute rock that says Happy Fall on it (from Michaels). On the other side I have a Fall ceramic with a scarecrow, a cute owl and pumpkin salt and pepper shaker, and a bird.
The bird is actually a whistle that you put water in and when you blow into it, it makes a bird calling noise. My cats go crazy over it.
My mom bought me this super cute kitchen towel this week, and on obsessed. I love how it says 'Happy Pumpkin Spice Latte Season'!!
I actually hand painted all three of these ceramics! It was a pain in the ass LOL.
And lastly, I have this cute Fall sign that you can hang up, and I have it hanging from a hook on this self that I have by my front door.
So this is all for my Fall decorations. I realize I'm not the best at taking photos, but I don't have the best lighting in my house (also, this lazy girl uses her phone camera for everything). I hope you enjoyed seeing a peak of what my house looks like in Fall!
*Extra Bits*
-I had videos planned for this week by my storage on my Mac is full. I need to fix it somehow, because I delete every video on it after its uploaded to YouTube and I don't really know what the issue is. It was enough to say screw it and not upload this week, and I'll bother with it later!
-I only blogged once last week! I just wasn't in to mood and felt uninspired. I think I'm going to go back to my Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule for now. Videos will be up Monday's or Wednesday's, and Friday's will be a lifestyle post.
-Speaking of Lifestyle posts, I really enjoy doing Friday Favorites, but haven't had much to share lately (because all I do is sleep and play World of Warcraft, literally). I might do them once a month instead, or every other week.
-And what kind of lifestyle posts do you want to see? I'll do more house things, I'm planning a visit to an apple orchard soon so you'll see that. And I have a Fall reading list post planned. Any other ideas?
Now that this post is probably way too long, thanks for reading! I hope you all have a great weekend!
Do you decorate for Fall? Let me know in the comments!
