April Favorites | Beauty + Lifestyle

Hey! Happy Hump Day!

Remember last week when I said I was going to post every Wednesday and Friday? And then I didn't post on Friday? Opps. Hubby's birthday was Thursday so I was super busy all day and didn't have time to sit down and write a blog post. I was going to do a Friday Favorites post, but since today I'm sharing my favorites from April, I'm just going to include some lifestyle favorites in this post that I was going to share on Friday.

MAKEUP
I've been into my Lorac Pro Palette lately. I forgot how much I love this palette, and it's super great for everyday looks as well as something a little more dramatic!
I've been using the Stila Stay All Day Bronzer almost every day for the past month or so. I will admit that I gave this a not so good review when I first bought it. I've since changed my mind about it, and think its great for bronzing up my face. I don't like it for contouring, which is why I originally didn't care for it. I also love how big the pan is!
For foundation I've been using the Sonya Kashuk Soft Focus Matte Foundation a ton. This is the newest edition to my foundation collection, and I bought this as an attempted to replace my favorite drugstore foundation with a Cruelty Free one. I do like this, but I'm not going to go into much details because I have a review for it coming soon!
The lipsticks I've been using the most are the Nyx Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken and Maybelline Nude Lust with Nyx Lipliner is Natural. Both are great everyday shades, with the Maybelline one being more on the neutral side.

HAIR AND SKIN CARE
I've been loving this Pura D'or Organic Argan Oil* to help with super dry ends on my hair. This was sent to me awhile ago from Pure D'or along with some shampoo and conditioner that I didn't care for, and never gave this oil much of a try until recently. It's a light oil so it doesn't feel too heavy on my hair.
I recently started using the Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solution Toner again and I forgot how amazing this stuff is. It clears up my skin so fast if I have any problems!

LIFESTYLE
I've been enjoying these Satwa Sandalwood Incense lately, and they smell super amazing.
I bought this little piece of Rainbow Fluorite at a crystal shop a few weekends ago and I'm absolutely obsessed with it.

On Netflix I recently watched 13 Reasons Why and overall really loved how the show turned out. I read the book years ago, and I hope they make a season 2.
Right now I'm currently watching The Magicians on Netflix and its super good. I'm almost done with the series, and I'm also hoping for a season 2 of this show as well! This one was also made off of a book too, and I'm thinking about picking them up to read.
I definitely recommend watching both of these shows if you haven't already!

So this concludes my favorites for April! What have you been loving and into lately? Share your favorites with me in the comments!

Check out my Etsy Shop if you haven't already! Also, I have a giveaway up on my shop Instagram right now and I'd love for you all to enter!

Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes for Fall

Hello!
I've been a little slacky this week on the blog and my YouTube channel. With the long weekend and Labor Day a few days ago, I didn't plan out my schedules very well.

Today I'm sharing some eyeshadow palettes that I love and think are perfect for Fall. I always love the burnt orange and red tones, especially for this up coming season. Also Fall is when I like to wear more smokey looks and darker makeup.
I'm pretty sure I do posts like this every Fall, but sometimes my favorites or what products I'm using the most changes from last year, so you'll see my favorite lip colors and blushes in the next week or so too!

I'm also sorry about the lighting in these photos. It was cloudy and rainy all day yesterday, and that is what I get for waiting to the last minute to take pictures LOL. At least you all more than likely already know what these palettes look like. I was able to snag a few photos or some of the palettes that I used in previous posts, but sorry about the rest!

I've talked about the Morphe 35O palette a ton lately, but this just screams Fall. I'm obsessed with all these red and orange tones.

I also love the Lorac Pro palette for Fall because it's a good neutral palette but it has some nice plum and smoky colors. I've been really into my Lorac Pro 3 lately, so I'll have to give this one some love soon!

I'm pretty sure I mention this Jesse's Girl palette every Fall. But how can I not with these red and orange colors? Plus this is only $3.99!

The Tartelette palette is a go to of mine for Fall because I LOVE a good all matte look during Fall, and I love the plum tones in this palette too. I'm pretty sure I used this the most out of all my palettes last Fall and Winter.

Speaking of all matte palettes, the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette has to be one of the best all matte palettes I own, and I adore this one for Fall. The third color from the end is one of my favorite red tones eyeshadows of all time.

You'll definitely see these palettes in sims Fall makeup tutorials I have planned. I'm for sure going to do an all matte look for Fall, and I'm super excited about it!

What are your go to palettes for Fall?

FOTD | Lorac Pro Palette

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I'm trying to make it a point to use more of my makeup that I neglect. I get stuck in a routine and tend to use the same things over and over, so I'm trying to incorporate things I haven't used in a while! I've had my Lorac Pro palette sitting on my vanity for a few weeks and I kept saying I needed to use it more. Which is why I set it out on my vanity, but I was still neglecting it. So last week I made my self use it, and I've been using it everyday since. It's one of my favorite palettes so I don't even know why I stopped using it!

So anyways- I thought I would share a FOTD post since I really like the eye look I've been creating with this palette.

Face Makeup
Benefit Porefessional Primer, Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation, Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, Rinmel Stay Matte Powder, Lorac TANtalizer Bronzer and Highlight Duo, Wet n Wild blush in Rose Champagne

Lips
Mac Blankety over top of Nyx lipliner in Nude

Eyes

I used Taupe (1) as my transition shade, and Sable (2) in my crease and outer corner. Then I used Champagne (3) all over my lid, and Espresso (4) on my lower lash line.
I finished up with Maybelline Line Stiletto for my winged liner, Stila Smudge Stick in Stingray on my waterline, and Covergirl Super Sizee for my Mascara.

This eye look is super simple and easy. It's also really similar to the one I do with my Urban Decay Naked Palette!

Do you guys ever neglects any of your makeup items that you love? Let me know in the comments!

Fall Eye Look- Plum Smokey Eyes

It's been forever and a day since I've posted a makeup look on my blog. This needs to change LOL. I've gotten into such a funk of doing my makeup the same everyday because I'm running late for work. I literally switch between 2-3 neutral looks that all look that same. I don't know what's wrong with me people!

Anyways! Today I pulled out my Lorac Pro Palette, which I have been wanted to use forever and finally did. I rediscovered how much I love it so I was happy.

I did a pretty smokey Eyelook for Fall using some plum shades, and did something a little different on my lower lash line from the usual.

How I got this look

-I first used Mac painterly paint pot to prime my eyes.

I used quite a lot of shades to get this look.
-First I used Taupe (3rd shade on top row) as my transition color and blended it all over my lid, crease, and up to my brow bone.
-Next I used Mauve (5th shade on top row) in my crease and blended it up to my brow bone as well.
-For the crease I mixed Espresso (2nd to last shade on top row) and Deep Purple (right underneath espresso) and blended it out.
-I took more of Deep Purple and focused it more in the inner corner.
-I also used Espresso on my lower lash line.
-I used Pewter (5th shade bottom row) all over my lid.
-For the inner corner highlight I used Nude (first shade bottom row).

-For my eyeliner I used L'Oreal Lineur intense liquid liner to make my winged liner.
-For my water line I used Urban Decay 24/7 glide on shadow pencil in the color Rehab. I normally do black liner in my water line but I wanted to try something different today.
-For mascara I used L'Oreal Telescopic.

I hope you all enjoyed this fall eye look and thank you for reading!

Red & Gold Holiday Eye Look

Hello everyone!! I recently just discovered that blogger has an app! Crazy I know but I guess I'm so use to just blogging from my computer. That being said, this is my first time testing out the app so bear with me! Lol.

So with the holidays approaching I'm going to try to do some holiday eye looks using different pretty colors. For this one I used some red and gold colors from the Lorac Pro Palette. This palette is gorgeous and has a lot of beautiful colors that would be perfect for holiday makeup!!

So first I used the Nars eye primer and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold as my eyeshadow base. Then I used the gold color (3rd shade on bottom) from the Lorac Pro Palette all over my lid. For a transition shade I used taupe (3rd shade on top).I used the dark reddish shade called garnet (6th shade on bottom) in my outter corner and blended it into my crease. I also used taupe on my lower lash line and I used cream (2nd shade on top) for my brow bone highlight.  For my eyeliner I used L'Oreal lineur intense liquid eyeliner and Mac smolder on my waterline. I used lash galley mascara by Em cosmetics for some thick and dramatic lashes.

What are your favorite holiday colors to wear this time of the year?  Let me know if the comments below!

FOTD: Copper Smokey Eye

Hello All! Today I am going to share with you a copper smokey eye look that I did with my Lorac Pro Palette. I have been really obsessed with this palette ever since I purchased it a few weeks ago. It's really amazing and the colors in it are so beautiful and pigmented. There are tons of different eye looks you can do with this palette because there are a wide variety of colors.
First I used the Lorac behind the scenes eye primer to prime my eyes. I used Maybelline color tattoos in Bad to the Bronze for an eyeshadow base. I used the color Gold from the palette all over my lid. I used Taupe in my crease with Black in my outer corner slightly blended into the crease. I used Nude for my brow highlight. For my eyeliner I used the Be a Bombshell liquid eye pen for my top and Urban Decay 24/7 liner in perversion on my waterline and lower lashes. I used Maybelline the Falsies for my mascara. And in case anyone was wondering, I used the Mac eye brown pencil in brunette for my eyebrows.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
