Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Moonlight

Hello!!! A few weeks ago when I did a post on some makeup brands that I've never tried and my friend Lauren from Will Sing for Makeup was sweet enough to send me some goodies from Laura Mercier. She sent me a delux size of the foundation primer and a caviar stick in the color Moonlight. Thank you so much Lauren for sending me these!

I was super excited because this caviar stick is beyond gorgoues, which brings me to today's post. I mentioned this in my favorites post, but it's so pretty that I thought it deserved a post on its own. 

The description on Laura Mercier's website claims these caviar sticks to be creamy, long wearing, transfer free, won't crease, blends easily, and have rich color payoff. 

Moonlight is described as a metallic pewter color. This color is so beautiful and makes a great lid color, which is what I have been using it for, but I can see it being one of those 'one wash wonder' colors that you can blend into the crease a little for a fast and easy eye look. 

Here I am wearing moonlight all over my lid, and I used some matte colors from the Tartelette palette in my crease. This is the makeup I was wearing in my October favorites video and it's been my everyday eye look for the past two weeks. 

My overall thoughts-

-Since this was in my monthly favorites, you can guess that I love this. 

-The color is gorgoues and I can 100% agree with all the claims on the website. 

-This is definitely budge proof and it doesn't crease at all. The color payoff is amazing and definitely rich. 

-Unlike a lot of shadow sticks or cream shadows I've tried, this one you do not have to set with a powder shadow afterwards. Which goes with the transfer free claims. 

Overall I highligly recommend these and I I will definitely be checking more out at the sephora VIB sale this weekend!

Extras-

-hubby got me a new camera to film my YouTube videos with and I used it for the first time in my October favorites videos. It has a view finder so filming is a lot easier now! I also thought it picked up lighting better and I didn't look so pale and washed out (aka why does my blush/bronzer disappear in camera??) what did you guys think?

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Review

Have any of you tried the new Maybelline Color Tattoo Pigments?? Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows are one of my favorite makeup products from the drugstore, so when I saw these new pigments I really wanted to try them. I haven't played around with much pigments before so I was really curious about these. I picked out two shades that are neutral and bronzy colors. Those are the colors that I wear the most in my every day makeup, but they do have some really pretty brighter colors in this collection as well. 

The colors I picked up are called Barely Brazen which is a shimmery champagne color, and Breaking Bronze which is a shimmery golden bronze color.

My Thoughts on these Products:

These are really beautiful and the color pay off of these is great. These pigments are really easy to blend as well. I applied them with a dry brush and they went on really well with a primer underneath. I have heard that it is good or easier to apply pigments with a wet brush, but I have not tested this theory yet since I am usually in a hurry while doing my makeup. I would like to try some of the other colors in this pigment line to see if I like them as much as these two colors. I believe I paid $5.99 for these at target, so they are a good product that is affordable, especially if you can create an eye look with only two colors!

Here is the look that I created with these:

I primed my eyes with the Mirabella primer and used Mac Paint pot in Bare Study as my base. I used Barely Brazen all over my lid, on my brow bone, and in my inner corner. I used Breaking Bronze in my crease and on my lower lash line. For my eyeliner I used Maybelline eye studio liquid eye pen, and Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero in my waterline. I used Revlon Lash Potion for my mascara.

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Hey Everyone! Today I am going to share a drugstore makeup haul. All of these items I purchased at either Target or Walmart. I was really excited about a few of the items that I picked up, particularly some mascaras that I wanted to try!

These items are just restock products for me. I was running out of my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, which is my favorite setting powder, and my Elf Golden Bronzer. Then when I went to Walmart I saw that there were a ton of Maybelline Products on sale for $2 so I picked up the Instant Age Rewind Perfector powder which is another one of my favorites.

I picked up this Wet n Wild eyeshadow trio in I Dream of Greenie. I have never tried Wet n Wild eyeshadows before but I have heard that there are great and really pigmented. I have been wanting some really pretty green eyeshadows lately so when I saw this one I decided to pick it up. I will post a picture of some swatches of the colors. 

The colors from left to right are the brow bone color, the crease color, and the lid color on the palette.

I have been wanting to try the L'Oreal telescopic mascara and the new Revlon Lash Potion mascara. I have heard really great things about the Telescopic mascara, and I have not heard anything about the Revlon Lash Potion yet. I just liked the pretty packaging lol. I will do a review on these mascaras once I try them out!

FOTD + OOTD: City and Bright Colors

Hello Everyone!! Today I am going to share both an Outfit of the Day along with the makeup I wore when my husband and I went to Ann Arbor, Michigan with a group of friends. We love going there because it's a fun city with lots of stuff to do, and since it's summer time I chose to wear some bright colors on my eyes and for my outfit as well. 

Here is a pictures that I took of the downtown area. 

FOTD

Face Makeup:

For my foundation I used the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous. For my concealer I used the Covergirl & Olay simply agless corrector and the Revlon Color Stay concealer on top. I set my makeup with the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder and the Elf HD powder. I use the Elf golden bronzer all over my face for a night bronzy glow. I used NYC bronzer in sunny to contour. I used Benefit's Coralista for my blush, and the Chella highlighter pencil to highlight my face.

Eye Makeup:

I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool for my eyeshadow primer/base. The White color really makes the bright yellow eyeshadow I applied more vibrant. This eyeshadow is Three Ring Yellow by Mac. In my crease I used Naked2 and Faint from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, with Venus as my brow highlight. I used Satin Taupe by Mac in my outer corners and lower lash line. For my eyeliner I used the Bombshell liquid eye pen for my top liner and Urban Decay 24/7 liner in perversion in my waterline. For my Mascara I used Maybelline the Falsies.

I'm really obsessed with this bright yellow eyeshadow. My lovely friend Danielle at Foxy Lady Beauty gave it to me!

OOTD

This bright orange/coral dress is from Target. I love the bright color for summer! My skull necklace is from a store in Orlando that was in downtown disney. I have seen necklaces similar in alot of different stores lately. My watch and my purse are both from Fossil.

FOTD: Copper Smokey Eye

Hello All! Today I am going to share with you a copper smokey eye look that I did with my Lorac Pro Palette. I have been really obsessed with this palette ever since I purchased it a few weeks ago. It's really amazing and the colors in it are so beautiful and pigmented. There are tons of different eye looks you can do with this palette because there are a wide variety of colors.

First I used the Lorac behind the scenes eye primer to prime my eyes. I used Maybelline color tattoos in Bad to the Bronze for an eyeshadow base. I used the color Gold from the palette all over my lid. I used Taupe in my crease with Black in my outer corner slightly blended into the crease. I used Nude for my brow highlight. For my eyeliner I used the Be a Bombshell liquid eye pen for my top and Urban Decay 24/7 liner in perversion on my waterline and lower lashes. I used Maybelline the Falsies for my mascara. And in case anyone was wondering, I used the Mac eye brown pencil in brunette for my eyebrows.

Two looks using the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Hey Everyone! Today I am going to do a post on two looks that you can create with the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I'm sure everyone has heard of this palette and seen reviews and looks on it before, but I am a huge fan of Urban Decay's eyeshadows and I use this palette very often while applying my makeup. This palette has all matte eyeshadows except for the shade called Venus, which is a light shimmer color that is great for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners.

There is two different looks that I create when using this palette so I though that I would show you all some pictures.

This first look is a more natural and subtle. I like to wear this one when I don't feel like wearing a ton of eyeshadow but I still feel like my eyes need a little color and definition. (Sorry for the bad lighting on the right side of the picture!!)

I mix wos and venus for my lid color. I put naked 2 in my crease with a little bit of faint in the outer corner. I also take faint and apply it to my lower lash line. I apply venus to my brow bone for a highlight. For my eyeliner I used Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner on the top, and Urban Decay 24/7 in perversion on my waterline. For my mascara I used Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Cat Eyes.

The next look is a little bit heavier and smoked out. It can also be used for an everyday makeup look as well, or it works for a nighttime look.

For this one I applied naked 2 all over my lid. I used faint in my crease with crave in the outer corner and slightly blended into the crease. I also used crave on my lower lash line and venus for my brow highlight. For my eyeliner I used Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner on the top, and Urban Decay 24/7 in perversion on my waterline. For my mascara I used Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express. 

These two looks could easily be combined for a day-to-night look! They are both two of my favorite go to looks when I am doing a neutral eye look.
