L'Oreal Pro Glow Foundation First Impression

Hello!
Today I have a video on my first impression of the L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation. I filmed this video about 2.5 weeks ago, right before I left for my vacation. This isn't a revieW, it's just me applying the foundation for the first time and sharing my initial reaction to how I felt about it! I'll be doing a full review probably at the end of the month here on my blog.

I'm a huge fan of the Pro Matte version of the foundation, so when this came out I was super curious about it!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte-Matic Eyeliner

Hello!

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the L'Oreal Matte-Matic eyeliner. I'm pretty sure this is new on the market and I just recently heard about it, but I'm not 100% sure. I was on the hunt for a eyeliner, and picked this up when Ulta had their L'Oreal products buy two get one free a few weeks ago.

This retails for $7-9 depending where you  purchase it. I'm pretty sure it was $8.99 at Ulta, but I found it online at Walmart and Target for $7.17 and $7.99.

It's a retractable pencil, which I've grown to prefer over pencils that you sharpen. This claims to be "24 hours wear, gel cream formula, with an intense matte color". It also comes in 4 shades.

From L'Oreal's website
"Create your signature liner look with L’OrĂ©al Paris Matte-Matic in four matte shades. Our long wear formula delivers rich matte intensity. Gel cream formula glides on easily and comes with a built-in sharpener. Waterproof. Smudge resistant."

Here's some wonky swatches with a flash and no flash. You can see with the flash on that it's not super jet black. The top swatch does look super black, but I think not having the flash on made the swatch look more forgiving.

My Thoughts-
-I like that it' has nice packaging, it's retractable, and matte.
-I don't find the formula to be very creamy, so that makes it s bit difficult to apply.  It does applies easy to the waterline, but it doesn't smudge well under the line because of the formula.
-It also doesn't stay in my water line, but it does stay and doesn't smudge on my lash line. It doesn't bother me too much about the water line, because I'd rather have it stay put on my lash line and not smudge or run.
-The pigmentation is okay. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't think this is a super black shade. I also have to go over my lash line a few times, both because of the pigmentation and because the lack of creaminess.
-So basically, I kind of agree with its long lasting claims, I don't agree with the 'cream gel formula', I do agree that it's matte, but I don't agree that it's an intense color. Confusing, I know.

Overall this is an okay liner. It's not my favorite, but it's not bad either. I wish it was creamier, but I'm glad it doesn't smudge like the Loreal Silkissime liner does on me. I usually like my liners super jet black, but I'm kind of enjoying that this is a bit of a softer shade. I just wish it wasn't claimed to be super intense when it's not.

I'll finish this up for sure, but I'm not sure if ill repurchase it. I'm enjoying it for now, because it's not a bad liner and it's worth a try!

Have you tried the Loreal matte-matic liners yet?

Current Everyday Eye Makeup!

Hello!!! So lately it seems that I am always running late in the morning and am always rushing! I have been opting for easier and a more natural eye look because I just haven't had to time to spend on my makeup. Which is sad because I always get so excited to do my eye makeup for the day. The look that I have been doing lately is super easy and simple and I can do it in just a few minutes, so I am going to share what I have been doing almost every morning for my eye makeup. Also this is why I haven't been posting many fun makeup looks or FOTDs here on my blog! *cry*!

The Naked Bascis palette by Urban Decay has been my go to palette for the past month or two. I have also been obsessed with this Mac eye shadow called All that Glitters. I always use the Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study to prime my eyes first.

So basically after I prime my eyes, I put Naked 2 and Faint from the Naked Basics Palette (4th & 5th color)  into my crease and blended the shadows out. I used Macs' All that Glitters all over my lid. I used Venus (1st color) from the palette as my brow bone highlight, and I used Faint again under my lower lash line.

For my eyeliner I have been using L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner and Mac's Smolder eye pencil on my waterline. I have been using Covergirl's Lash Perfection Mascara for my lashes.

This look is really quick and easy to do! The lighter colors in the crease are more forgiving and are easier and faster to blend out than darker and brighter colors are!
I hope you all enjoyed and thanks for reading!

L'Oreal Infallible Gel Eyeliner Review

Hello All!! I was in the mood to try a new Gel eyeliner a few days ago, and since I have been loving L'Oreal prodcuts lately, I decided to try their Infallible Gel Liner. I recently reviewed the L'Oreal lineur intense liquid eyeliner which you can read here. The gel liner that I was using before this one dried up on me, and that was a while ago so I haven't used a gel liner in a long time! I was really excited to try this one and start using this kind of liner again.

I love how this product comes with a brush to apply the eyeliner with!

I really love the packaging. I think the gold lid is super pretty with the black eyeliner. I'm a sucker for anything black and gold. I love how the brush is black and gold to. ha ha.

Here are pictures of the liner on my eyes.

My Thoughts on this Product

I was overall happy with my purchase of this product. The formulation of this gel liner is really creamy and it's very easy to apply. Like I said before, it comes with a brush for you to apply it with. I actually like this brush as well, I usually prefer to use a small angled eyeliner brush for gel liners but this one was quite nice. The color is really pigmented and very black and it doesn't get dull or wear off during the day. I used this for my top eyeliner and also my waterline in the pictures. I don't think it stayed on my waterline as well as my Urban Decay liner does, but it was still okay after putting a black eyeshadow overtop so it didn't smudge. It's really easy to make a winged liner look with this as well, both with the brush it came with and with an angled liner brush.
This eyeliner was around $8 at Target and Walmart, so it's really affordable. It's similar to the Maybelline eye studio gel liner, which is the one that I was using previous to this one but it dried up on me. I will definitely repurchase this product in the future!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed this review!

Beauty Haul #2

Hello everyone!! Today I am going to share a small beauty haul here on my blog. A few of these products are from Target, and the rest are from a professional cosmetology store that just opened up in where I live.

These are the two products that I purchased from Target. I wanted a new gel eyeliner because the one I own dried up on me. I have been loving L'Oreal products lately so I thought I would try this one. I love how it comes with a brush to apply it with. I also picked up the Olay cleaning towelettes. I usually use some Neutrogena ones to remove my makeup, but I have not liked the way they have been feeling on my skin for the past week or so. I will give these ones a try and share my thoughts on them later. :)

The first product I picked up from the cosmetology store was the Healthy Sexy Hair Full hairspray. This is the firm holding spray and it's one of my favorite hairsprays ever. I think I purchased this for around $9, which is about $2 more expensive than the professional store that I normally go to. Fortunately with my license I can get these products cheap than if I buy them at target or walmart where they are almost double the price! They also gave me a sample size of the Kenra finishing spray.

I picked up this Vanilla Bean & Sugar scented body cream because my hands get super dry from washing them all day at work. It smells really amazing.

The last things I picked up where some nail polishes. I got three of the nail art ones, and three regular sized bottles. The first one on the left is by Morgan Taylor and it's a really pretty nude/neutral color called Birthday Suit. I have not tried this brand before but they had a lot of beautiful colors. The one in the middle is the CND Vinylux brand in the color Seaside Party. These polishes work really great and they are designed to last longer than regular polish. I love this color a lot, and I've used it before at my work but I needed to have my own bottle! The last color I picked up on the right is an OPI color called Every Month is Octoberfest. This is one of my all time favorite colors by OPI and I have been meaning to pick it up since last fall. I love all of the dark colors than are almost black for the fall and winter time! I believe all of these polishes were around $4.50

Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed this haul post!

Makeup for Wearing Glasses

Hey Everyone! Today's post is going to be on Makeup for wearing glasses. When I wear my glasses, I usually opt for a more neutral and lighter eye look. I think a more natural eye look looks better and more appropriate than brighter, bold, and dark colors. Since you can't really see much makeup behind your glasses, save the fun or bright colors for your cheeks and lips!!

What I used:

For this look I used the Urban Decay Naked palette. This is one of my all time favorite eyeshadow palettes. To prime my eyes I used the Too-faced shadow insurance and Nyx jumbo pencil in cashmere as my eyeshadow base.

I used Half Baked all over my lid. I used Buck in my crease and blended it out with Smog. I used both Buck and Smog on my lower lash line. I didn't want to draw too much attention to my under eye area since the glasses magnify my eyes, so I did not use an eyeliner on my waterline like I usually do. For my top eyeliner I used L'Oreal carbon black lineur intense liquid eyeliner. For my mascara I used Revlon Lash Potion. I chose this mascara because this one doesn't make my lashes as long as some of my other mascaras do so it's perfect for wearing my glasses.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!!

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Hey Everyone! Today I am going to share a drugstore makeup haul. All of these items I purchased at either Target or Walmart. I was really excited about a few of the items that I picked up, particularly some mascaras that I wanted to try!

These items are just restock products for me. I was running out of my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, which is my favorite setting powder, and my Elf Golden Bronzer. Then when I went to Walmart I saw that there were a ton of Maybelline Products on sale for $2 so I picked up the Instant Age Rewind Perfector powder which is another one of my favorites.

I picked up this Wet n Wild eyeshadow trio in I Dream of Greenie. I have never tried Wet n Wild eyeshadows before but I have heard that there are great and really pigmented. I have been wanting some really pretty green eyeshadows lately so when I saw this one I decided to pick it up. I will post a picture of some swatches of the colors.

The colors from left to right are the brow bone color, the crease color, and the lid color on the palette.

I have been wanting to try the L'Oreal telescopic mascara and the new Revlon Lash Potion mascara. I have heard really great things about the Telescopic mascara, and I have not heard anything about the Revlon Lash Potion yet. I just liked the pretty packaging lol. I will do a review on these mascaras once I try them out!

Thank you all for reading and have a wonderful day :)
