Skin Care Haul

Hello! Today I'm sharing a skin care haul! I seem to have run out of everything at the same time, so I made a trip to Ulta and Target. Some of these are repurchases for me, and some a new!

I ran out of my self tanner so I repurchased the NKD SKN self tan from Ulta. I like this because its organic and made with natural ingredients. It's not my favorite that I've ever tried, but it's affordable, dries really fast, and has a minimal scent to it!

I also repurchased the Dr. Bronners Pure Castile soap in the Hemp Almond scent. I use this stuff for body wash and for hand soap in my bathrooms and kitchen. This stuff is amazing, and its seriously the best makeup brush/sponge cleanser!

The next repurchase for me is the Burt's Bees Acne Solutions Toner. I could not wait to repurchase this again, and I'm so excited to have it back in my skin care routine. I was also going to purchase the Acne Solutions Cleanser that I raved about in my July Favorites  post on Monday, but neither Target nor Ulta had it in stock. I was a bit annoyed because I really love it, but I took this as an opportunity to try a different cleansers from Burt's Bees instead since I've had good luck with their skin care. I picked up the Gentle Foaming Cleanser with is for normal to combo skin. I'll do a review on it once I try it out for a bit.

I wanted a new face mask since I ran out of all of mine, and the only one that interested me was the Formula 10.06 Pores be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask. I haven't tried anything from this brand before, but I remember being interested in it a while ago! They had a few different mud masks, and I chose this one because it has Kaolin Clay in the ingredients, and my skin responds well to it. I'll also do a review for this once I try it out for a while!

And the last product I picked up is the Derma E Purifying Detox Scrub. I reviewed this a while ago (here!) when I was sent some Derma E products from Brandbacker. I really loved this scrub, so I wanted to repurchased it when I ran out!

Have you tried any of these skin care products before? Let me know your thoughts on them in the comments!

Drugstore Haul

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend, and Easter if you celebrated it!

I'm going to share a few things that I picked up from the drugstore recently. It's mostly skin/body care so nothing too exciting, but I thought I'd share anyways because I did get two things that I haven't tried before (new things to review!!).

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser- this is just a repurchase of the cleanser I use everyday.
Shea Moisture raw Shea butter body wash- another repurchase of my favorite body wash. I tried another scent and didn't love it as much as this one!
Shea Moisture strength, grow, and restore Leave in Conditioner- this is a new product for me. Since I love the Shea moisture body wash, I've been wanting to try their hair products. These are organic, cruelty free, and free of a ton of things (sulfate, parabens, etc.). I ran out of my usual leave in conditioner so I thought I'd try this one out. My hair needs all the help it can get since its very damaged so I will definitely be doing a review on this later!
Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara- a repurchase of my holy grail mascara.
Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation- I'm seriously running out of all my foundations! I haven't purchased any new ones in forever. I put myself on a no buy for a little while but I decided to repurchase this one when I ran out last week because I love it and it's the cheapest of all the foundations I use lol!
Burt's Bees natural acne solution clarifying toner- I did a review for this a few weeks ago. It's my favorite toner at the moment, and I already ran out of the first one I purchased!
Batiste Dry Shampoo for dark and deep brown hair- I've been using the floral and flirty blush scent of this and I love it, but I wanted to try out the one for brunette hair because I hate the white cast the other ones leave if you aren't careful!! Will be reviewing this as well!

Edit: I actually ended up going to Target soon after published this post, so I'm editing it to include these two items I picked up! I found a $10 gift card in my purse so I was excited!
Wet n Wild Ombre blush in The Princess Daiquaries- I picked up a different shade of these ombre blushes a while ago but I was unsure about the color, so I've been wanting to pick up another shade so I can see if I like them!
Elf Illumanting Eye Cream- I've been dying to try out a lot of the things in Elf's skin care line. Target had this eye cream and a moisturizer, and then were out of two different things (not sure which ones). They don't have all of their skin care line but I was wanting to try this eye cream out, and since I currently don't have an eye cream I was excited to see this there!

I'll be doing reviews on both of these items too!

I'm still on a no buy (sort of!). Most of these were essential things that I ran out of and needed. I could have held off on the foundation, but hey it's only $7!

Have you picked up anything new from the drugstore lately? Let me know in the comments!

Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solution Clarifying Toner

Hello! Today I'm going to review a new toner that I've been using for about three weeks. I haven't tried much of Burt's Bees skin care before, but I was desperately in need of a new toner. Since I wasn't able to pick up the usual witch hazel toner that I use, I picked up the Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solution Toner.

Funny enough, I was at my local grocery store when I picked this up, and they don't have the best selection of skin care products but they did have a display of Burt's Bees. Since I try to use things on my skin that are more natural on my skin, I had about two toners from Burt's Bees to choose from. I picked the Acne Soltion one because my skin gets pretty acne prone, so I thought, why not? I wasn't expecting much, I just needed a toner.

From Burt's Bees website
Formulated with skin clarifying Witch Hazel and Lemongrass, known for its astringent properties, our best acne facial toner removes lingering traces of cleanser, dirt, oil and make-up. Our clarifying toner also has Salicylic Acid, derived naturally from Willow Bark Extract, to penetrate pores, reduce acne and prevent future breakouts. The result is naturally clear, healthy-looking skin.

• Removes residual cleanser, dirt, oil and make-up
• Helps reduce acne and prevent future breakouts with Salicylic Acid, naturally derived from Willow Bark
• Formulated with skin clarifying Witch Hazel and Lemongrass
• Designed for acne-prone skin
• Noncomedogenic
• Dermatologist Tested
• Non-irritating

My Thoughts
-I am seriously so pleasantly surprised by this toner. I really didn't expect much from it like I said before ,I just needed a toner and this seemed like the best option for my skin.
-This removed so much extra dirt and makeup from my skin after I cleanse my face with my usual cetaphil cleanser at night that I'm actually questioning how well the toners I was using before this one worked.
-It makes my skin feel very clean and fresh. It does have a drying feeling afterwards, which I'm guessing is due to its acne reducing properties. This doesn't bother me since my skin is oily, and I moisturizered afterwards anyways.
-I can 100% agree with its claimed to reduce acne, and it has faster than any skin care product that I've used. Right after I bought this, I used a night serum from Estée Lauder that broke my face out so bad and since I was using this, noticed the blemishes were healed in 2-3 day, rather than the usually week or so they take to go away.
-It also non irritating like it claims also!
It has a nice scent that's a bit citrusy, which I really love.

The only downfall that this is only 5floz for $10, and the rose water witch hazel I normal buy is 12 floz for the same price. Since this works so well though, I think I'm okay paying the $10 for less product but I'm still sad that I get so much more in the other toner.

This is definitely a toner that I'll continue to buy and that is going to be a staple in my skin care routine! Now I'm kind of wanting to try some other Burt's Bees skin care products! Do you have any favorites?

Also, I have a slightly random question for you guys. I have two post ideas for Friday this week. Would you guys rather see a food related post, or a kind of motivation/inspiration post? I'm trying to do more lifestyle posts on Fridays, so which ever one I don't do this week, I will do next week!
