Skin Care Haul

Hello! Today I'm sharing a skin care haul! I seem to have run out of everything at the same time, so I made a trip to Ulta and Target. Some of these are repurchases for me, and some a new!

I ran out of my self tanner so I repurchased the NKD SKN self tan from Ulta. I like this because its organic and made with natural ingredients. It's not my favorite that I've ever tried, but it's affordable, dries really fast, and has a minimal scent to it!

I also repurchased the Dr. Bronners Pure Castile soap in the Hemp Almond scent. I use this stuff for body wash and for hand soap in my bathrooms and kitchen. This stuff is amazing, and its seriously the best makeup brush/sponge cleanser!

The next repurchase for me is the Burt's Bees Acne Solutions Toner. I could not wait to repurchase this again, and I'm so excited to have it back in my skin care routine. I was also going to purchase the Acne Solutions Cleanser that I raved about in my July Favorites  post on Monday, but neither Target nor Ulta had it in stock. I was a bit annoyed because I really love it, but I took this as an opportunity to try a different cleansers from Burt's Bees instead since I've had good luck with their skin care. I picked up the Gentle Foaming Cleanser with is for normal to combo skin. I'll do a review on it once I try it out for a bit.

I wanted a new face mask since I ran out of all of mine, and the only one that interested me was the Formula 10.06 Pores be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask. I haven't tried anything from this brand before, but I remember being interested in it a while ago! They had a few different mud masks, and I chose this one because it has Kaolin Clay in the ingredients, and my skin responds well to it. I'll also do a review for this once I try it out for a while!

And the last product I picked up is the Derma E Purifying Detox Scrub. I reviewed this a while ago (here!) when I was sent some Derma E products from Brandbacker. I really loved this scrub, so I wanted to repurchased it when I ran out!

Have you tried any of these skin care products before? Let me know your thoughts on them in the comments!

July Favorites

Hello! Happy Monday!

Today I'm sharing my July Favorites, and this month I have a mix of makeup, skin and hair care, food goodies, and books! I'll keep this intro short, and we'll just get into it.

MAKEUP
I have to mention the Naked Heat palette because I'm seriously obsessed and it's all I've been using. I reviewed it last week here in case you missed it, but this is seriously the best Naked Palette that Urban Decay has came out with!
I've also been using the Urban Decay Single Shadow is Walk of Shame, because the Naked Heat palette doesn't have a shade for me to set my eye primer with. Ounce is a bit too light and has a tiny bit of sheen to it, and Chaser works best as a transition shade for me. W.O.S is a tiny bit lighter than Chaser, so its perfect to place all over my lid up to my brow to set my primer.
I've been trying out the new Covergirl Healthy Elixir Foundation and I really like it! I bought a shade darker than I normally would and it matches my self tan perfect. I'll probably purchase the a shade lighter in the Fall time when I'm not self tanning, that's how much I like it. I'll do a review for this soon, if anyone is interested. I also mentioned a while ago that I will only be purchasing cruelty free makeup from now on, but I cannot for the life of me find a drugstore foundation or concealer thats cruelty free that I like. :/
A nail polish that I've been in love with is Essie Chills & Thrills. It's such a fun blue color for summer time, but this would also be great for fall and winter too. I don't paint my finger nails anymore, but I love this one for my toes!

SKIN AND HAIR CARE
I absolutely love this Burt's Bees Acne Solutions Cleanser that I reviewed at the beginning of the month (click here if you missed it!). I said in my review that I might not repurchase it because of how small the bottle is, but I've definitely changed my mind and will be repurchasing it. The bottle is nearly empty and I will be getting another one soon. This cleanser is seriously amazing and my skin has been looking really great with hardly no breakouts since I've been using it.
For hair care I've been loving this Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. On days that I wash my hair, I don't like to style it so it can have a break from heat. I will let my hair air dry instead, and I'll use this sea salt spray to give it some texture. It doesn't give me amazing mermaid waves of anything, but I still like it and it smells amazing.
I've also been enjoying this Ion Titanium Pro Spiral Curling Wand. My Mother in Law gifted me this for my Birthday last month, and it makes such pretty curls/waves! You can find this baby at Sally's if any of you are interested in where it came from.

BOOKS
I've been struggling to enjoy reading lately. I've only read 2 books so far this year! I read the Fantastic Beasts and where to find them screen play earlier this year and that was it up until last week. I decided to pick up a few of my favorite books that I've already read to try and get me back into reading. Last week I read Looking for Alaska by John Green, which is my all time favorite book (or at least tied for my favorite with The Tea Rose). I've read this 4 times now and I swear I'll never get tired of this book. Now I'm reading The Outsiders, which I've probably read at least 5 or 6 times already since I was 12. It will always be one of my favorite books.
I usually share my favorite Netflix shows in my favorites, but I currently don't have any to share. I watched Weeds all last month, and now I'm finished and can't find a good show to get into. If you guys have any recommendations, let me know!

FOOD GOODNESS
Last month I shared my love for the GFB bars, and this month I have a few new ones that I've been enjoying. First is these Kind pressed fruit bars which are so so good. My favorite flavors are the Strawberry Apple Chia, and the Mango Apple Chia. And the best part about these is the ingredients- all thats in them are chia seeds, apple, and strawberry/mango.
I've also been enjoying theses Larabars and my favorite flavor is the chocolate chip cookie dough. These also have great ingredients in them and they definitely cure my sweet tooth.
My biggest tip for a healthy diet is to look at the ingredients of what your eating. Know whats in your food. If it has a long ingredient list, and there are things in there that you can't pronounce/don't know what it is, then stay away from it!

So this wraps up my July Favorites post. What have you been loving this month?

Extras-
-I think its time to get my wisdom teeth out. I should have gotten them out years ago but I'm a baby. I got a bad infection in my gums/teeth area where a bottom wisdom tooth is under my gums. Thankfully its better now, but I couldn't even close my mouth because it was so swollen and painful back there!
-My 4th Blog Birthday was as the beginning of June. I completely forgot about it until a few weeks ago. So instead I want to celebrate Pilar whose 4th blog birthday was on the 27th, and Lily whose 4th blog birthday was on the 29th. I love both you ladies, and I wish you many more years of blogging success!!

January Favorites

OK guys. I've officially given up on posting my 2016 beauty favorites. I thought I got my movie editor working and all figure out but things went wrong when it was processing. So I'm just going to move on and try again with the next video I film. Let's talk about my favorites for January instead!

Makeup Favorites
Urban Decay Ultimate Naked Basics. I started using this last month in December and it's been the palette that I've reached for this most when wearing eyeshadow. I don't want to talk too much about it, but I reviewed it HERE if you want to see why I love it!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I picked this up for the first time a few months ago, and it's been my go to concealer for everyday wear. I like its super creamy formula.
Mac Pro Longer blush in Make you Mine. I share this in my last haul post (check it out here!). It's a pretty nude/salmon shade and I love the formula of it. I'll do a review with swatches soon!
Kat Von D Shade + Light blush duo in Mickey and Mallory. This has been a favorite of mine since early last year. I've talked about it a ton on my blog, but its my perfect everyday blush shade.
Nar Lipgloss in Chelsea Girls. This little mini Nars lipgloss is the first Cars gloss that I've tried, and I love the formula and color of it. It's a pretty nude/pink thats great for quick natural makeup days.

Skin Care
Schmidt's Natrual Deodorant Bergamot and Lime. I've mentioned this brand of deodorant before when I have the lavender scented one. I love both scents a lot, and I'm enjoying this lime one. It smells very citrusy and fresh, and this is an amazing brand of natural deodorant.
Lush Sleepy Hand and Body Lotion. This has been my everyday hand and body moisturizer all of January. Lush makes amazing lotions and this is definitely one of my favorites. It has a lavender scent and smells really great.
Lush Bubbly Shower Gel. I got this mini size for Christmas and I've already used it up. I really enjoy this and will definitely be purchasing a full size sometime in the future!
Lush Honey Trap.  This is another product that I've mentioned millions of times. It's my all time favorite lip balm that I recently repurchased. I swear every time I buy this stuff again I love it even more.

What are some of your favorites for January? Let me know in the Comments!

November Favorites

I seriously feel like I just did my October favorites. I can't believe November is gone and we are already in the first week of December! I say things like this every month, but for real this year went by too fast.
I don't have a ton to share again this month, but here's the few things that I've been loving this month.

I'll start off with the few makeup products that have been favorites.
The Tarte Don't be Afraid to Dazzle contour and highlight palette made my favorites last month, and here it is again this month because I'm still obsessed with it. I don't wear makeup too often anymore, but when I do this has been a must use for me the past two months. I get so excited to use this every time I do my makeup.
I've also been using the Tarte Exposed blush a lot lately. It's the perfect nude blush shade for me, and this lasts all day on my cheeks without looking splotchy at the end of the night.
The Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ has been a favorite foundation of mine for years, and it's my currently favorite foundation again.
And last for makeup is the Nyx liquid suede lipstick in Soft Spoken. This has made my favorites in the past, but I wore it on Thanksgiving and remembered how much I loved it. This lipstick lasted all day on my lips, and I mean it lasted through two thanksgiving dinners and was still on my lips when I went home at night at 11 pm. 12 hours!

Next is three essential oils form my Eden's Garden oil haul that I shared last month. My my favorite three have been Exhale, Sleep Ease, and Blood Orange. I was sick last month with a cold and Exhale was super nice to help me breath. I use Sleep Ease every night, and the Blood Orange is such an amazing and fresh orange scent.

The Lush Fresh Face Mask in Rosy Cheeks has definitely been a favorite of mine. I did a review in mid November you can check out here. This mask is amazing and it has the best Rose scent that I've ever used/smelled.
And lastly is some Peppernint tea. I've been obsessed. I stopped drinking tea for a few years because some teas are high in oxalate (black tea) which causes me to get kidney stones. I stayed away from all tea with the exception of a few times a year as a treat, but after doing some research I found out that herbal teas have low oxalate content. My mother in law gave me some herbal teas and my favorite has been peppermint. Even though I use to drink tea twice a day, I never tried peppermint tea until a few weeks ago. I bought an organic brand last week, which you can see from the photo, but you'll see more info on it later this week in a haul post that I'll be doing!

What are your favorites from November? Tell me about them in the comments!

Also, did you see my Holiday Gift Guide that I posted on Friday??  Check it out HERE if you missed it!

October Favorites

I know- I usually film my monthly favorites! I've just been a bit lazy slightly unmotivated to film videos lately, and actually slightly is a bit of an understatement. I'm trying to get out of my funk, but it's not happening. BUT I do have my mind on a few other things (good things!) and hopefully it's something that I'm going to start working on soon, and share it with you guys in a few weeks! Vague, I know, but let's just go with it.

I also didn't have a ton of stuff to share this month for favorites, so that's another reason why I opted for doing a post instead of a video. I have some skin care, and some makeup but I'm going to start with skin care products!

Skin Care
I reviews these two Derma E products here and I really love them, especially the night cream. I mentioned in my review the the day cream was a little thick to wear under makeup, but since I'm home most day I really don't wear makeup anymore (say what?!) except for 1-3 times a week. So this day cream has been in my skin care routine most days, and its nice because it keeps my face hydrated all day long when I don't wear foundation. The night cream is just amazing and also feels amazing when I use it at night, like my face is in heaven.
-I also reviewed the Valentia serum here as well, and it's been another must have in my nightly skin care routine. I say that I'm freaking obsessed would also be and understatement. This stuff would probably make it into a top 5 list of all the skincare products that I've ever tried. It works that good for me.
-Lavender oil has become an everyday essential for me. I know this isn't exactly skin care, but I included it in this category because it fit better here than with the makeup. I'm obsessed with anything lavender scented now thanks to this oil. I use this every night right before I go to sleep and it's very soothing. I wouldn't say its enough to cure this bout of insomnia I'm going through lately, but it helps.
-Last for skin care is from The Body Shop and its the Coconut Lip Butter from The Body Shop. This has been my go to lip balm lately, it's not my favorite that I've ever tried, but I love the scent/flavor to it and it has a nice texture.

Makeup
I only have two makeup products to share! This is definitely a first for me, but like I mentioned before, I haven't been wearing makeup a ton lately. Its nice to give my skin a breather, but when I do put makeup on these have been two of my go to products.
-I pulled on my Tartelette In Bloom Palette and have been using it every time I do my eye makeup. It's such a gorgeous palette, and I love the reddish tones it in. These are also super buttery and smooth shadows and blend super nice. If anyone wants to see my current go to makeup look using this, let me know!
-And lastly, my favorite cheek palette has been the Tarte Don't Be Afraid to Dazzle Contour and Highlight Palette. It's the newest edition to my makeup collection and I reviewed it here a few weeks ago. The contour is the perfect neutral shade, and the highlight is stunning champagne color. Also, I totally forgot to mention this in my review, but these powders smell amazing. They kind of remind me of the Too Faced Chocolate products. Seriously, go sniff this in a store and fall in love with the scent like I did. I'm such a sucker for makeup that smells good. I'm so weird.

That's all for my favorites last month. What are some of your favorites from October? Tell me about them in the comments!
